are dreams necessary for a human?

why do human being dream? - why is the need of dream in human beings life? is it essential? is it inseparable? how does it help?

what do you feel? do you feel a human being need dreams to stay alive? is it a part of life? is it a inseparable part of life if yes why? what is the definition of dreams in human life? how can a human separate dreams from him?

Dreaming is necessary for human life. It is proven that if a human doesn't dream they will go insane. Dreams are just a way of repairing your brain I guess.

do you want to say that the dreaming is like brains restarting process. don't you think its so weird process of restoring? why it is needed? if it is needed then why "in this form"? what do you feel my friend? actually i wanted to ask this.
