I made some fresh chicken salad today and as a wrap for it I used a large collard green leaf from the garden and rolled it up. It was soooooooooo good. I also made some sweet potato fries with it for my lunch. Does that sound good to you? Do you ever use vegetable leaves as a wrap for sandwhiches? The leaves got really big from the garden, and I love this now, it tastes better than bread and is a good alternative to it once in awhile.

There are Korean dishes that use this method. And since I've taken a liking to Korean food, I've also done this. My favorite is this one - (I don't remember what it's called) rice, pork and chilli paste rolled in fresh napa cabbage leaf. I also love green leaves in my sandwiches. It's a very healthy way to eat.

I must have some Korean blood then, I like it alot. I'm gonna miss these leaves when the summer garden season is over. We finally got the gophers to leave the veggie garden alone--for the most part. Something is still eating the tomatoes, as we found a few bites taken out of a tomato thats ripe already now. I'll have to try the rice, pork and chilli paste, but the cabbage leaf will have to be for someone else, cause I dislike cabbage unless it's in coleslaw.

They usually use this leaf - sesame leaf. However, I'm having trouble looking for it in my country. And, so I use the next best thing - napa cabbage, the stuff that is made into kimchi (which I so love
). I think if you're more into other kinds of leaves, then that's good, too. There's only one kind of salad leaf that I really hate - Arugula. All the rest is good for me. Good thing for you to be able to grow your food. Makes me miss my parents' home. And my dad, the farmer, the most. I hope you find out what's eating your tomatoes and get rid of it!
