We always want what we don't have

Just now, responding to different topics I realized how many people would love to be able to work at home, just as I do, I myself want to be able and find a job outside of home and to build up some social habits and relations with different people. Lately I don't feel comfortable in my skin. I feel little useless, because my discipline broke since the spring now. I lost the motivation I had time ago and it effects bad all what is going on with me and around me. It is time to recalculate all of the situation. I love making analysis and I believe it helps me sometimes. Not actually making a list with good and bad sides of everything, but I am rethinking in my mind the good and the bad features which will be caused of my acts or none acts. What do you think? When people would finally feel satisfied of themselves? My boyfriend is one very hard workers and just doesn't have the luck. He was a top rated seller in one website and for some reason they changed his status today. With a very hard work, he was very successful lately and now this changed because of nothing. I am reaching sometimes my small goals easy, without even realizing how I could do it, but having the right positive mood and expectations helps me a lot, without putting too much efforts.

Yeah, we are always like it either we realized it or not. We always want things tat not mean for us, or want things that we don't have. Is it because we are not feel grateful for what we have?? We are not satisfied with it. I think we need to learn to be grateful and appreciate the things we have now.(^^)

I was thinking about it, if we really are not thankful enough ... or not ... And still can't answer my question.

What best we can do is that satisfy with what we have and try to be more better with it. As you said, a home based job may keep us more involved in the job, but we may miss many things like social contacts, intractions etc. and some home based jobs are less pay and more work. But people are required more in demand at home, like having small kids, elders at home may be ok with homely business as they can manage both at a time. Also, we need to forcee the things around and if your b/friend met certain set back, ask him to rectify the issues and come back more cautiously for the next time.

So, be relaxed, pull the chair and start reading & typing. No hurry and no worries, the life should be so that everything would be fine... Have a nice day!

We are not having this problem at home, no kids, no elders to care for. My job is flexible and allows me earn well with patience and good motivation, which I don't have lately.

i think it depends of luck suggar^^ sometimes bad things happen to those that dont deserve. im sorry that your bf had bad luck but im sure soon all will be solved. if he is a great worker im sure they will keep appreciating his work^^ about you i guess you are right many people would like to work at home. i would like to^^ but sometimes can be a little boring too cause you dont have much time to socialize. for me i would love to work at home^^ i feel calm and peaceful at home. i work in a grocery store now and sometimes i wish i was working at home. i think we are never completely happy with what we have. but thats a human feeling^^ wish you feel better and motivated again. just think that the more you work the more you earn and the sooner you get happy. if we work a lot and save much money then we can have a better life without stress^^ im sure that thought will motivate you^^ life is too short to be wasted with tears or sadness^^

Yes friend, the more I work, the more I will earn and the sooner I will be happy. I must sign it somewhere and read it often to remind myself. Thank you.

We just need to learn how to appreciate and be thankful of every thing that we have. We should also avoid comparing our selves with others. This way we can avoid to aspire for the things that we don't have at the moment. Although it's not a bad thing to look for some things that might make us happy, there are also reasons why can not have some things that we want.

I found that after some time things loose their value for us - achieving them or not, it doesn't make much sense for us to try and achieve. Thanks

That is true. We always want what we don't have and when we find it, we are surprised that we wanted it so badly. Sometimes there is more pleasure and satisfaction in struggling.

Yes I think the same way. When some goal is reached we value it less than before. Instead of being happy we put another higher goal. It is a way of progress, but still we don't seem so happy when we reach what we wanted so much.
