Are an atheist? If not, what religion you are in? Are all religion have this so-called ten commandments? What happen if you are not following one or two or more of them? Do you believe that it would really end you up in hell?
Your idea is highly appreciated.

To me the 10 commandments are full of sense where you are Christian, Catholic or any religion for that matter! as I said before it's full of commonsense, respect your elders, treat others the way you like to be treated, and so on...to me if we all follow this 10 principals there would not be any wars and peace would reign in our world and crimes and abuse would not happen and we all should be equal despite of gender or creed!

Not all parents are good at any given time...some fail some don't...but at the end of the day...parent or not...we can listen and respect the elders in our life they have a lot to teach us[ for those who want to listen]of course...I Am 67 and still learning from those older than me. We might not have love for some people or animals but they still deserve our respect as any other creature who populate our world.

You are correct in saying that most religious systems have some guidelines similar to the ten commandments. Many civil laws are also similar to the ten commandments. If you follow those civil, social guidelines, whether you go to hell or not you will have a better life. Believing and attempting to keep the ten commandments does not open the doorway of heaven either.

Yes, I'm an atheist. In my religion we don't have so called Ten commandments but yes, we do have books explaining the way to live the life. I mean, do..s and don'ts of life with examples.
In these books they have mentioned about the consequences of doing right and wrong things. I think, all the religions in this world has only one purpose, that is to, control the animal part of the individual and live peacefully, still, there are so many people, who use religion for doing wrong thing and that is very sad.
Good question you've asked.

I believe in the basic principles of them.. however I think the Bible needs to be changed into the context of this day and age. The are too far fetched in this society we live in. They need to be adapted to OUR lives, and not the time in which they were written.

i think it would include your in-laws if you consider them to be second parents. if you don't it doesn't really apply does it? lol!
