Oh I just love British accent! There's something about people with the British accent. I love listening to them and I simply admire their accent. So I downloaded this talking virtual assistant on my phone and the best thing about it is that I could edit the avatar and even change the accent. Of course I chose the British accent and i'm having fun listening to him respond to me! Are you a fan of the accent too?

Hi toni I have a UK client and when we voice chat, he often says that I have a better accent than his. But I feel that speaking to him and listening to him is always a learning experience for me. Personally, I love the accent of Sean Connery - dont know what his accent is but I love listening to him in those james bond flicks, or even the movie Entrapment - it feels so...(cant say what, but I just love it) Then there is another one I recently found - again in a movie - GIJoe Rise of the Cobra - The way this actor playing the role of McCullen speaks (another actor says it is Celtic) but I love the accent - even tried speaking that way for days after watching this movie. I have it on my PC only for this accent and have watched it many times.

Sean Connery is Scottish but his accent is British English. I have a very good British friend that I talk to almost everyday and I just love the way he sounds. I'm not trying to imitate him though. He told me I sound a little like American. What he meant was I sound half British, half American!

If I have British accent, I would apply in collections department just to further piss people off while making them pay for their balance. You must have a cool phone. I can't even set my memo right for this stupid phone, and had to but a notebook just to keep track of my tasks.

Well that's just cool. I'd kill for a virtual assistant with Megan Fox's voice, though.

OH Allen, you can keep it to yourself. I have no interest in knowing them since I don't have the courage to utter those anyway.

I have a British friend who would send me voice notes once in awhile. Thankful that he doesn't cuss though because I'm not a fan of cussing.

English is also my second language but I love listening to the Brits talk. I guess i just got used to listening to them that I could understand them easily. Not as much as I do the Americans though.

This reminds me of in my high school days after our family had moved to another city. Compared to the other students in our new town, I spoke "proper" as they called it. The would impersonate the way I spoke and apparently to them "proper" means I sound British. Which I do not, but I guess that's what they hear for some odd reason. Only people from certain places will know that I'm a southern girl.

When I was in college, I called my crush anonymously and he thought I was British. That was fun!

Well, to answer your question directly, I can tell you that the English language is my favorite (the first of course is the Italian, or my mother tongue), but if I have to be honest, it does not matter to me a lot of 'British accent. It is important to know how to read and know how to speak, that is the basis for knowing a foreign language. Then when in our minds that language begins his "flow", then you can also improve the spoken, right entering in our dialogues even the accent.

British accent has always been charming to my ears. It reminds me of the Harry Potter days. I wish I had a trendier phone so that I could get a british virtual assistant too, but as of the moment, all I have is a simple phone without internet.

I like British accent too, but American accent is also good. Actually I couldn't now choice between those both accents, but I like to hear well spoken English, e.g. when American President speak or some Senators of this country. I see that you can very well English, but I am still learning this language. Perhaps when I know so much as you know, I would have better opinion.

Must be a cool phone to be able to change the accent of your virtual assistant. I like a variety of accents and they have different effects with different people. I like the British accent especially since they usually enunciate their words very clearly and I can understand what they're saying. My wife is French Canadian but she has very little accent. It can be very sexy.

It's the application that is cool. On iphone you can't change Siri's accent. But in Assitant on android you can. There are other virtual assistant applications but this one is very cool because it allows me to change things according to my own preference.

I like listening to british accents, too. I like it better than Scottish, or New Zealand. For me, its easier to understand British accent than the other European accents.

Scottish is too rough. The accent is too heavy, it's very bucolic for me. I find the British English more sophisticated.

I'm not learning the accent nor the English language. A virtual assistant on my phone is just like a secretary. He does whatever I tell him to do, like showing me directions, define some words, look up my contacts, dial a number for me, send a message for me, open up my twitter or Facebook, etc. The fact that he's responding in British accent is just one of the perks!
