We have ants

Well you know on Sept 1 am moving. oh Joy on Monday the exterminator is coming for ants, the whole building has them. We have to empty every cupboard and closet in the house. I guess it is a blessing in disguise because we will just pack up everything and leave it packed because it will make no sense to unpack and pack again. I told steven we will leave out one plate for each of us one frying pan etc and for the next week before we move that is all we will use.

Ants are a lot nicer than ticks or bed bugs. If you step on ants , they die. Ticks don't die if one steps on them. If you just leave some food pieces somewhere , the ants will gather and eat the food , you will be able to step on them and get rid of many of them. You will also see where they come from , you don't need to call the exterminator....do you ?

What kind of ants are those ants ? Are those big and brown and bite ? Maybe black , small and not bite ? Do they go for food inside the closets ? Tell me what damage do the ants do ?

they are the really tiny ants. All ants look for food in the house, so the scurry on counters, around the plumbing etc. I never saw any in the cupboards but when the exterminers come they tell what you have to have cleaned out.

Talk about motivation to get moved. My son's fiance is buying a house and moving. Then she heard that someone in the complex has bed bugs, she freaked out. She saw bugs in her bed and decided she was moving immediately. She had an exterminator in and he told her hers were fleas and carpet beetles and told her what to do about them. Meanwhile she is moving this direction ( an hour's drive) and has packed everything up and is staying with her folks which is closer.

Now that is very smart thinking. Ugh! I do know about Ants. We have suffered from attack of the ants all summer long. I finally was fed up and took what little money I had left and bought some Raid ant killer spray and some Raid ant traps and so far it has worked awesomely haven't seen a ant one in my kitchen since, but I'm sure they will find another place to attack but we will be waiting... Poof! They be gone... Lol.

good to see you again, that is great that you got control and got rid of those ants. Only 8 more days and I am moving, for some reason I am really nervous about that. I can't figure out why.

I haven't seen many but I guess other tenants in the building have them worse than us.

Ants are fun - Just pick up a handful of those tiny pink envelopes of artificial sweetener ( Aspartame derivative) that found on every Restaurant table. This product (Aspartame) was developed as an ant killer, but when found much sweeter than sugar it was used to replace sugar in order to make more money. It is deadly to ants and they love to die by ingesting it! Now, imagine what it does to the human body when used instead of sugar?

Uh-oh, I hope the ants will not make the move with you. They have the annoying tendancy to get into everything and make a nuisance of themselves. Good luck!

That's good, because they are very difficult to get rid of once you get them coming in.

I've heard of some interesting excuses to get one's stuff packed, bu that is a new one. LOL Don't you just love when something aweful happens, but the timing is actually OK? I can't remember what it was, but I had something less horrible than that, but the timing was just as good, happen to me. I just remember when it happened thinking that I was glad when it happened now, because what I had to do to solve the problem, was something that I had planned to do anywa. Now, if only I could remember what it was. LOL

the fumigators are coming on Monday the landlord is sending them to everyone in the building. And frankly I don't really care, we are moving on the first of the month which is only two weeks away.

That TOTALLY makes sense! I'd do the same thing - why bother packing twice? Heck, if I could afford it, I'd get some paper plates

I can tell you how to get of ants! And no chemicals. When I lived in the little one bedroom afew years back we had ants BAD. We were told about cinnamon working(coffee grounds also work) and so we got a container of cinnamon and put it down where they were coming in. It got rid of them! It is a mess to clean up though.

They haven't done it here for years now. We haven't had many bugs. Weird. You'd think with the hot weather they be coming inside.

It's good you are mocving, I know so many who have paid people to come in and it has made their animals sick after. I try to use all natural items, and avoid using chemicals.
