love competitor (old maid aunt)

A friend told me that she had a neighbor crush, who is 10 years older than her. she was sure that she got his attention to him because he always glance at her. but sadly the guy sister recommend his brother to court her aunt , she even give gifts to her aunts telling that it comes from her brother even though it's not true because that guy didn't visit her aunt at her house instead he was visiting my friend house z talking chatting with her parents and have an eating drinking session. Eventhough she want to joins the group she was ashamed because her father didn't invite her to join them. Instead her father invited her aunt to come and join them.. my friend like the guy much but her aunt was pursuing him. should she give way to her aunt? Or she will make relationship with that guy if he will court her?

It's quite difficult since the other competitior is her aunt. Does the aunt love the man? If I were in the situation, I'd think like this first: "Does my aunt love him very much?" "How does the man feel toward my aunt?" "Did the man know how I feel?" "Does his glance to me because of my aunt?" I think it's better for your friend to be sure about the things above first.
