I saw on discovery channel how chocolates are made! i could totally live in that factory! From cocoa seeds to chocolate.. i love how it was made too! it was also described how the chocolates temperature when roasting it affects the quality as well as how to turn it to dark, semi sweet chocolates..it was amazing!!!
now i am craving for some. yum!

One of my best child memories is when I visited a chocolate factory with my parents when I was 6 or 7. The factory workers gave me cocoa seeds -- they have a bitter taste -- and chocolate, and for sure, I would have settled there if it has been possible

yes i being there is not magical at all with all those big machines but knowing there are a lot of chocolates that is enough lol.. i would love to visit one..

Wow really? the town was smelling like chocolates? wonderful..they must have a lot of cacaos at that place.. pretty nice i bet.

My first visit was in an old 19c factory looking like a castle and all the town around was smelling chocolate
. It has closed in the early 1990's at this place, but it is still possible to visit the -- now empty -- factory : these white and red buildings have something magical.

You made me crave for one also at this moment. It will be a dessert for me , just now that i have just finished eating.
Though, i have to control myself, lest i will not be able to get my goal of losing some fats in my mid section.
Cadbury is the best for me. What's yours , Jazel.

oooppss i have to turn away from that one as i do not like chocolate with nuts lol i disturbs the smoothness of the chocolates lol but i love ones with caramel filling!

Your post is so yummy. Now after I posted this I'll go get a bar of chocolate and enjoy it myLot. I would definitely do the same, live in that factory. I love all types of chocolates. But later I will eat milk chocolate with almonds by Lindt. Have a great day!

I love chocolates. I love eating chocolates as well as baking cakes and molding my own chocolates. Chocolates were of course my cravings. Maltesers is my favorite. The cruncy marble shaped, coated with chocolate. The crunchiness and the perfect taste made this my favorite. I love also kisses, ferrero rocher, cadburry and all white chocolates.

i was addicted to maltesers too when i was in college i remember always bringing one in the room and eating them while in class!! i love them actually lol and i have not had one lately hmmm gives me an idea.

I know I find it very fascinating and the fact that the seed taste nothing like chocolate is pretty neat. I use to only like milk chocolate but I learned to love dark chocolate when I went to Europe. I never liked milk chocolate though. i find them pretty sweet and tasted a little artificial. I don't like a chocolate that is too sweet to begin with.

hi jazel.i like chocolate too like you.i like dark chocolate but it is just my preferences.milk chocolate had a lot of bad fat which can turn very bad to my health if i consuming it too much.chocolate had a lot of function too.it can relieve stress,diare medicine,etc

This was why my favorite movie of all time is "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory" way back when it wasn't Johnny Depp. It was when I was younger that I saw the film and I hoped that I could someday be able to live in that place, where the waterfalls is chocolate and everything was candy!! hehehe..
It's awesome, don't you think?? I wish there was a themepark like that! ahhahaa..

Ohhh.. I never saw that (Top Chef "Just Dessert" Season 2).. I hope it's in youtube. hehehe.. I loved that movie even with Depp, but I was first mesmerized when I first saw the original "Willy Wonka" hehe.. ooohhh.. the chocolates... I could taste it! hahahaha..

Yes do watch it on you tube, i watched the finale on youtube as well as the one shown on tv is delayed lol..
One of the cast from the original willy wonka said that all of what was in the set of their movie was really all candies and chocolate except for the wall paper lol... it was amazing huh?

yes thats my fave movie too! I love it even it was Depp who played lol..watched the Top Chef Just Dessert season 2 where the old casts who were kids back then, the task for the chef was to recreate the whole area of the chocolate factory. it was pretty cool. 2 people like this

Thats awesome that you got to see that I wonder what the company was that was making the chocolates you watched. When I was much younger my mother drove us quite a few hours to the hershey factory which is huge and gives tours. It was so neat. The smell inside there was so good and at the end they gave away a hershey bar yumm.

my ultimate dream!
I saw this episode in Top chef: just desserts where their challenge was to create a willy wonka like place! and the guests were the willy wonka kids, the casts of the first movie! It was amazing.. the thigns they did looked totally yummy!@jazel_juan (15745)

Nice! Anything chocolate is yummy, of course. Have you seen the article on the company that makes Tootsie Rolls? It's sort of like a real world Willy Wonka factory because of the secretiveness of the very old owners.

Your discussion reminds me of the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory LOL. Have you seen that movie jazel? I'm glad there are no Oompa Loompas in real life. They're hideous and creepy (though their song made me laugh!).
I love chocolates too! The most delicious chocolate I've tasted is the one we've bought from HK Disneyland. The chocolates are shaped like Mickey's head! They're just pure chocolate (no nuts or whatsoever). *drool*
