Can you tell me why people have different levels and how to earn one? Does it depend on how many submissions we make, the length of them or the content? Are earnings based on a person's leve?

I'm not sure what you mean by "levels" but I think you may be referring to the number in the star next to some people's names. This is called the "MyLot Reputation" and is determined by how well (or otherwise) people have rated your contributions with the Discussion Rating System - the [+] and [-] symbols next to each post. You will see your own 'Reputation' figure (and also be able to rate others' posts) when your User Rating - the number in brackets next to your name - reaches 100. The User Rating is NOT a 'post count' but shows, approximately, how many individual discussions you have been involved in. All of this is explained in more detail in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx under "User Rating & MyLot Reputation" and "Discussion Rating System". There's loads of information there which is worth reading!

So that is what it is all about. Now I see that my 44 has a long way to go to catch up with your 14155! Have you been doing this for years? Thanks for the tips, they are very helpful.

You can make as many discussions as you like and try to answer others discussions. The quality of your discussions and responses are based upon what you think about the discussions. You could earn more when you do it carefully. If you have research and made beautiful responses your rating would get high immediately.I know you could make big here.I wish you all the best.

Your level is a reflection of how you are rated by others on the site. You will receive a star and level when you reach (100) as that will be when you have been rated enough for the admin to give an average. Your level increases as you receive a higher percentage of + ratings. Once your user ranking is at 100 you will also be able to rate others. Yes, the level is figured in to the earnings but we do not know to what extent. The algorithm for earning here is a secret. Just do your best and it will come to you. This is a thoughtful question. Probably was answered somewhere in the faq section, but it is well asked and I hope you are learning what you need to know.

Its a discussion site not a forum. Thus, the levels/earnings depend on the quality of the response, not the quantity. Thus, the content counts and not the length. The better is a person's response the better level he will have. This levels are levels of reputation which are based on your participation in the site and are offered, counted and regulated after an user has reached the ranking of 100. This is known as the Discussion Rating System (DRS). For more information on this visit: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx The ratings/levels can alter an user's earnings. So they are important. If you post quality responses, your DRS will be high, subsequently you should be paid higher. For details on how to increase your earnings, check: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#14 I hope you make good money here. Good day!

I'd still stick to the quality of my discussions and responses than of the quantity of it. I just post few discussions because I would really wanted to reply in all of it. Earning here is just an addition for me. I'm really having a great time in here. Reading other people's opinions and facts and sharing mine as well. :)
