I have an old smartphone just sitting around and I know the charger is somewhere, but thre is a hardware problem. Is there anyone here who may know how to fix one, so that they can teach me? I mean it wouldn't hurt to try, right? I am pretty certain I can take it onto my arrier now, I'd just have to pay for the sim card from straight talk...
But first, does anyone know how to fix a hardware problem on a cellphone? It's way out of warranty.

The best thing to do is to bring it to the technician for check up. In our place, repair is just cheap and you can wait it while being repaired. But if the technician charged you more than one-half of the original price then better buy a new one. If you said that it's about hardware, maybe there is a certain part which required to be replaced.

I would most likely have to take it to the company that I got it from and the warranty is over, I'm sure it'd cost me way too much to worry about it.

Oh I see! In our country, you can find a repair shop almost everywhere so it is not a problem. You know, we wanted to maximize the use of anything because the price of these gadgets are high in our country. I also know that in other country, I don't know if it include yours, that the price of repair is much higher compare when you have to buy a new one.

The price of the gadgets themselves can be pretty expensive as well, but they want to make money anyway they can so will also make the repair costs a bit expensive, though I can't say how much it'd cost to fix my phone.
