Come on, feel sorry for me. . .

I woke up with a headache today. We went to a car show, supposed to sell crafts, but for various reasons it was a no go. . . and as the day went on I developed body aches, pains, and a fever. When I got home my temp was 101.5, and after taking a fever reducer, and sleeping three hours, it is still 99.3. It feels very much like the flu. No, I have not had a flu shot yet this year, and I do not get sick from them. It could also be I caught whatever makes my cat sneeze. . . Or I could be having a reaction to my sister's smoking. I spent the day with her yesterday. So come on, feel sorry for me. I am a thousand e mails behind when you add up all my sites.

Take paracetamol and reduce the fever. You have thousand email to be attended to. I have zero. I think you need some three secretaries to attend the mail.

Your paracetamol is the same as our acetominiophen and I will go take some and get some sleep. When I get too far behind on e mail, I feel free to delete them, but I really want to see what is happening for my friends. I did chew some candied ginger just now, as it always makes me feel better. Oh, and use some scented oils.

I'm sorry you feel bad. Lets just hope it is only a reaction to the sister's smoking. You will recover from that sooner I think.

You are right, I will clear that from my system with lots of liquids and saline spray and rest. I just hate to tell my sister I cannot be around her if she smokes.

She seems to think it is alright to smoke in my car if she rolls down the window.

When my kids are at my house they know they have to go outside to smoke. They don't mind because they know it keeps me healthy.

I have missed a lot of discussions this week and I am going to be catching up. That is a large part of the e mails I am behind on. It may be simplest to pick one friend at a time and just go there. I hope to feel better soon as well. My husband says he thinks I let myself get dehydrated. He is probably right. I hopeyou get some relief from your pain.

You have my sympathy but also congratulations. If it is the flu or something similar, you have just given your immune system a boost! When the mutation comes around this year or later you won't get sick, or at least not as badly as others. I don't take flu shots either because I believe that they destroy our immune system by not allowing it to fight anything. I haven't had the flu for more than 20 years! I hope you are better soon!

I do take the flu shot, because I have had the flu and I know how much it hurts. I am pretty sure this is some other virus, I spoke with a doctor friend this morning. I think back and find I had the same symptoms last year at about this time. Not sure of the fever but the headache and haze. Mostly I am healthy as a horse, and when I do get sick, I sleep, get fluids and pretty well let it run its course. I took and epsom salt bath and that took care of the rest of the aches.

Other than post surgically and for dental procedures I do not remember the last time I had an antibiotic. I do a lot of supplements usually, but have been lazy lately.

In this case it is "you people who get wimpy when sick". It happens so seldom. I usually go ahead and go to all my obligations anyway, but I learned that other people get sick when I do that. So I will take this day off and try not to contaminate people. It is still a nice day.

I have heard that you can get the flu this time of year. They are recommending that people get the flu shot early this year. You may have developed allergies and a sinus infection from that. Whenever my allergies are not kept at bay with medicine I get a nasty infection that knocks me down for a day or two. Feel better soon! Big hugs to you!

It is probably not flu, I talked to a doctor this a.m. when I called our choir director. Her hubby is a doctor. It is pretty early for flu, he says, and I should still be covered by last year's shot. I am pretty certain I am responding to smoke or mold or something stirred up by the rain. . . sinus, like you said. I am taking it easy today. . . coffee in bed even.

I feel sorry Ms. GG, you should be in bed and don't worry about your emails. There are times that our body have to take a rest from our daily activity that's why we got sick. Drink a lot of fresh fruit juices and a bed rest is a must.

I would blame the smoke. About the only thing that every gives me a headache is drinking something artificially sweetened. Of course I never do that on purpose. Well, the smoking would except that nobody smokes around me. I do not put up with that. Many years ago it was difficult to escape other people's smoke, but now most public places are safe that way. Well, OK, I will feel sorry for you. Now, doesn't that feel better?

That really is a big help. I have also learned that there is a bit of a trail to this, but I bet the smoke just lowered my resistance. This may be related to something related to work, as well. I just learned that.

I think it had something to do with your routine that day, perhaps your immune system was low and because you were exposed to conditions that could be leading to flu. I don't feel sorry for you, sadly, hehehe, it's quite common. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Fever points to virus or infection, not to allergy. So rest, drink a lot and give your body time to recover. I hate feeling sick and am sorry you feel that way. Blessings

Pat, I agree with you that it must be some kind of an infection. I do get them in my sinuses, and use a saline spray to help clear them. I may have been made worse by a reaction to allergens like smoke, or mold, or cats. I am doing better today.

I hope you realize that, even after your temperature comes down to NORMAL you are still supposed to stay home. I think you should stay away from cat sneezes, smokers and MAYBE EVEN CAR SHOWS in the future. I hope you get well, soon.

I did decide not to share with the choir at church this morning. If I am contagious it would be a really mean thing to give it to others.

I do feel sorry for you it is not fun to be sick like that and especially feverish. I think feeling sore and feverish can be the worst possible sickness there is. If you are still feeling bad tomorrow you should go to the doctor the faster you get the flu medicine if you have it the faster you will feel better. I do hope you feel better very quickly.

I got lots of extra sleep. I talked with a doctor who said that since I did not develop respiratory symptoms it was not the flu. I was better the next day and fully recovered in two days. The next weekend hubby got sick.

You may be tired out after a car show. You woke up with a headache and this may affect you. It looks like you are down with fever. Try paracetamol or aspirin for fever. If it is dengue fever from mosquitoes bites then try squeezing or pounding two papaya leaves and filter the freshly made juice and drink it. It is very bitter. But it cure dengue fever. My neighbor tried it and got healed.

Nope, not dengue fever, but it is nice to know the symptoms, I hear it is dangerous. I was worn out from work, then went to the car and craft show. I got dehydrated, and maybe caught some virus. I am so much better now.

Ok, I feel sorry for you, GardenGerty!! I've had this migraine-like headache for 2 days now - and I've had enough. I hate headaches period. So I feel for you!! Hopefully I will not get sick, but you never know. Colds/flus can come from anywhere I think . . . even just passing by someone who is sick in public. In any case, hope you are feeling better today!!

I feel sorry for you. My headaches go away much faster than that. I have much fewer since I increased the magnesium in my diet. I take supplements as well. For some people it helps them have fewer migrains.

Sorry to learn about your being under the weather.Maybe you catched a cold rather than the flu.You seem to need enough rest, which can build up your resistance to disease.

Welcome to MyLot Winike. I hope you are enjoying getting to know us. My daughter visited your country twice helping with summer camps and helping with English and games. I feel so much better now, and I got some extra rest and it helped the headache and fever.
