I wonder if I am having sleeping problems

I usually sleep around midnight and wakes up around five in the morning. On days when I do a lot of work, my body naturally wants to rest earlier. But I will still wake up around the same time in the morning. But lately my body wakes up much much earlier than usual which is around 1 - 2 am. It is difficult for me to sleep sometimes after I have woken up and I end up going back to bed only around 4am. Just an hour from my usual waking hours. Oh dear, will this make me grow old faster. What do you do when you have sleeping problems? What do you do to make yourself fall asleep again? I heard reading is the best medicine. But I am not sure if it works for me. Is this a sign of insomnia?

You might have insomnia but also maybe because you think a lot prior to resting thst is why you are having a hard time to fall asleep. getting little amount of sleep is unhealthy. it will take toll on your health a lot. you need to recharge yoursekf to become efficidnt in the office. try to keep your mind off from office stuff and other things. and maybe you would also want to lessen your caffeine intake coz it might be also one cause of not being able to sleep.

I also don't like it when I don't have enough sleep at night. It does affect me in the day time when I need to be wide awake and alert so that I can do my work properly. I am not a coffee drinker, only once in a while. I drink mostly tea and hot chocolate. I just hope it won't prolong.

Actually I have sleeping problem too. I don't know but it's hard for me to get some sleep nowadays. I'm not sure if this is insomnia. Sometimes I go to bed around 11pm but I just twist and turn on my bed and still wasn't able to sleep. Until I check my clock and it's already 5am. I also have the feeling where in I'm so sleepy, my eyes are tired, my body wants to rest but still haven't got the chance to grab some sleep. I've spent hours and hours on my bed but can't find the best way to sleep. Sometimes I just want to cry until I fall asleep but still no help at all. This is one of the hardest feelings.

Do you fall asleep during the daytime if you don't sleep at night? I am still able to sleep in the daytime if I don't get enough sleep at night. But it's making me missed out on things that I plan to do in the day time, because I will sleep so soundly especially after I've just taken my lunch.

The most important thing that you can do is to get yourself into a regular pattern that you do every night no matter what you're doing the next day. That way, your body will get used to the time that you wish to go to sleep, and will hopefully be able to do that when you want it to. You should not use the computer or your mobile phone for an hour before you go to bed as this means that your brain will be able to have the time to switch off from the things that is has been paying attention to for the rest of the day. If you wake up in the middle of the night and you find that you're unable to get to sleep then get out of bed and do something for fifteen minutes and go back again, because you will only get yourself stressed out if you lie in bed not being able to sleep at all.

It's really hard to tell because I've known people who sufferred with no sleep at all until 4am. At least in your case you get to sleep naturally but have a hard time going back to sleep after waking up in a few hours. I think you should also consult a specialist just to be sure, especially if these episodes leave you feeling sluggish and very tired in the morning.

It does make me sleepy in the morning when I don't get enough sleep and my brain will be in a state of dreamy. I just hope this is not serious. Thanks for responding and thank you for your advice.
