It is reputed that the pope uses a masonic handshake and it is known that the masons try to infiltrate powerful organisations. Do you believe he has masonic connections?

@rebelann I don't know! It was a long time ago that I responded and I can't remember what my authority for saying that the Catholic Church excommunicates people who take up any official position in Masonry was! I think that the Catholic Church considers that Masonry is not based on Christian principles (which may be true - I believe that it claims to have its roots in Ancient Egypt or even earlier.)

Of course not. The Illuminati have got sole control of the Vatican, everyone knows that! ;-)

Yes, that is right, JohnRok1. There was a video of a CEO on youtube. Probably, it was quite an old one. It is taken off now.
Anyways, in that video, he said he was proud to be mason. After that he explained that as a mason goes from one degree to another he keeps getting close to the light. Once the light is completely touched, the mason becomes illuminated. From this, we get the term illuminati. Everyone knows that light equals to lucifer. Not all masons are "illuminated". Some stay in the lowest degree. As far as I know, a fee has to be given in order to climb the ladder. What a stupid arrangement

Yes, he is a mason. This is completely true. Right now, it is not easy to be anything big without the help of masons. I had access to his FB profile before. Majority of the friends he had were masons. Some of them were celebrities. Others were from the European royal families who openly showed their love for freemasonry.

In 1983, Prefect Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, with the personal approval of Pope John Paul II, issued a Declaration on Masonic Associations, which reiterated the Church's objections to Freemasonry. The Declaration states:
"The faithful who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion...." and "...the Church's negative judgment in regard to Masonic association(s) remains unchanged since their principles have always been considered irreconcilable with the doctrine of the Church and therefore membership in them remains forbidden." Quoted from Wikipedia
Prefect Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, as some of you may not know, is the present Pope Benedict XVI. I do not believe he is affiliated with the Freemasons. Although, for some reason, this has become a rather controversial subject as of late.
