I am so weirded out by this.

The last few days I have been having terrible bouts of vertigo. Several days ago I started feeling nauseated(which is a symptom) before I ate my evening meal. Then two days ago I started having these awful bouts of vertigo. Laying down trying to relax, thinking maybe I could get a short nap in, and suddenly I felt like I was on a boat that was in a horrible storm and I was being tossed all around and falling, not able to get my balance. It is the weirdest feeling. And have been having some rather strange headaches, more pressure than pain, like a sinus headache. So for two days now I have been having these weird occurances just out of the blue. Never know when I am going to have one. Have you ever experienced vertigo? Did it stay with you for days or just occur a couple times and was gone? Did you see a doctor?

It happened to me when I was in college. The doctor just prescribed a pill for me to take for a couple of weeks and the vertigo never came back. I guess it was because of the terrible migraine I was having that time.

That is good that it doesn't happen as often.

I did read that it can accompany migraines. They are horrid enough.

Oh yes! Good thing I never had vertigo that severe, but my migraine remained, though it doesn't happen as often.

I've had this happen in the past, but I have blood pressure problems. It can be caused by a lot of things, including inner ear problems (infection or damage that you didn't know you had), blood pressure rising or falling quickly or a reaction to something you ate or drank, like caffeine. If it were me, I'd have it checked out by a doctor to be on the safe side.

I think it is this smoke we have had lately in the valley from the fires. And I think I ate too much salt. Salt and I just don't get along.

Yes I did have vertigo, but it was tintinitus that caused it, I saw the doctor it was just a long time ago that I don't remember what the doctor said at the time.

Why would you fill the prescription and then not take the pills. That just silly. Hot flashes AND vertigo? That must be fun.

I do suffer from vertigo but not to this extent at all. It does not sound too good and if it continues then you should get it checked out by a doctor or health centre. It sounds that you are correct in saying that it could be linked to sinus problems but we are lay people so it is better for you to get to a doctor. I do hope that it is nothing serious. My own vertigo happens when I am at the top of a high building or in a lift or at the top of a deep escalator. I never look down but keep looking straight ahead. And this technique works for me.

This just happens when I am laying down trying to relax. All of a sudden on I am on the storm ship and am falling off the bed yet laying still on it. Weird.

My bed used to feel like it was spinning. It could be connected to you twisting your neck. You can try some of those warm rice socks to see if the heat helps it.

Ya, I feel like I am spinning but like I am falling also. I am actually finding that cool objects feel really good on my head. It is like a sinus headache.

I've never experienced 'vertigo', but I recently had a headache. I seldom or hardly have a headache. This time, it was probably because of heat and humidity. It has been a long hot summer over here in Southern California. As I am typing this, we just go through three day heat (another 100 degrees temperature). I hope this would the last of the summer. Is this the only time you have experienced this? Do you know what triggers it? Has it been very stressful at work? How's the weather? I know this was 3 week ago. Could the summer affect you? etc etc...

Probably your sinuses because it got so hot. I get some horrible sinus headaches at times when it is very hot. I did experience vertigo once before several years ago. Not sure what triggers it. I don't work. Retired and on SSDI. Weather is getting chilly here. Summer was horrible.

Personally if this is still happening, I would be getting in to see someone as this could be a sign of aomething else going on instead. This does not sound like something normal and I would be a little worried if it was me. Hope you are able to relax more and feeling better. Will keep you lifted up in Prayer.

Balance issues? - This guy (actually crh some years ago) sure looks kinda dazed.
I'm not sure I've suffered vertigo, but about a year ago, I started suffering very severe panic attacks, combined with light-headedness. It turned out I was suffering from hypothyroidism; but I was also told I was suffering from panic and anxiety, which may have been causing the symptoms. Recently I've been suffering mild dizziness, and balance issues, which may be linked to my thyroid; or anxiety: stress and anxiety can I believe affect the balance, and that may be why you're suffering. Balance problems can be caused be caused by a condition known as meniere's disease, which I believe affects the inner ear. I feel you should see your doctor as soon as possible, especially if it doesn't clear up, and have your blood pressure taken to rule out anything serious.

I was diagnosed with severe depression with panic attacks in 2004. I am on meds for it. If I go off of them for any amount of time I am panic stricken. Whenever I have any physical problems the panic and anxiety comes into play. Each person is different and things effect them differently. When I have a panic attack I can get a rash and get sick to my stomache, have headaches, etc. I have done some research on the vertigo and it is pretty involved. I am planning on seeing a doctor next week if this hasn't passed. Thanks for the info.

Oh, I hate when I experience vertigo! Fortunately, it doesn't happen often, but it scares me when it does. Mine is related to my having multiple sclerosis. I had a really scary episode a couple of weeks ago-I opened my eyes to get up and my world was spinning! I spent most of the day in bed like that, and poor Jim had to go run errands because I was so ill! Fortunately, I began to feel better, but I napped most of the day away. That was the worst time for me-it's never been quite that bad. I really hope I don't have that again-it really scared me badly!

I did and it ended up being an inner ear infection. I would get dizzy and feel light headed. Balance was an issue too. It scared me. The ear did eventually start hurting though and that is when I found out why I was having the vertigo.

You should go to the doctor, and did inspection. So, you are not too severe illness, and you can determine the cause. You also have to follow the doctor's advice. Perhaps, there are foods that you should avoid.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, better to consult with your doctor about your issue, he will give a best advice to you to solve this problem. Don't take this as a casual one and check your doctor ASAP

hey, you need to see a doctor, you are having subjective type of vertigo. Are you having nausea or pain in inner ear or vomiting? Are you taking any medication for that? Did you consult it with someone? I get it sometimes but it is mostly objective, like i feel the things around me are moving but not me, that is mainly due to nausea, let me know if you consult a doctor that what he said please.

I had it, I did see a doctor. If I remember correctly it was either related to sinus issues or it was due to a pinched nerve. It did eventually go away. I could take Meclizine for the symptoms. If it lasts much longer, see your doctor.

I never had vertigo. My boss had it once. It turned out he had a ton of wax build up in his ears! The doctor took care of the wax and my boss had no problem after that! He makes sure he cleans out the wax regularly so he doesn't have to deal with vertigo again!

I'm sure you do feel wierded out by it, I would try to make an appt to see the DR if I were you. It might ben othing but then again you don't know for sure. Seeing the Dr is the only way to be sure of what's going on. Have you been stressed out more than usual? I bet you have with the grand child. I do hope it is nothing serious and it will pass either with your doctor's help or on it;s own. Thinking of you.

Wow, what a coincidence. I have the vertigo thing also. I had terrible headaches and I feel like I'm spinning. It had a couple of bouts for the past several months now, ususally, it lasted for several minutes. My doctor tells me to take this pill whenever I feel the attack. Hope this things shall pass because know what it feels like this. Be well. Thanks

It's just been for the past week for me. Started with nausea and then the vertigo and now sinus headaches. What pill is your doc having you take?
