Ping, the smaller of the twins is so sweet, but he's been acting "depressed" lately so when I wanted to take Flower to the vet, the roomie packed him up too. Flower is pretty good, but Ping was running 104ยบ!!! Flower got wormed and some pills. Ping got a big old shot and amox! Ping, and his brother Pong, are a month older than Solo who died a month ago. So, I guess you can see why I'm worried about him. So, please pray, or whatever you do, for my sweet Ping. What do you do when your pet gets sick?

That poor thing, 104! I'll say a prayer for both cats. What do I do when my pet is sick? I worry! Thankfully, if I know what it is, in some cases I already know what to do because the vet has told me. But when it's something I know she needs to be seen for, I worry a lot. I just want her to be happy.

I do too, if I know what's wrong, but Ping was just not acting like himself and looking kind of puny.

I hope Ping is better by now, it's so upsetting when a pet is sick--they can't tell you what they're feeling and you don't know whether what you do for them at home is making them feel better or worse! I said a prayer for Ping. You've had a lot to deal with lately with your kitties!

The shot the doc gave him seems to have him feeling better already. He went out onto the cat porch this morning and then when I held him, he purred and loved on me.

He seems to be feeling a little better, we'll give him his dose of meds when the roomie gets off.

Aww...I hope he is better soon. My experiences with sick pets are not at all good. I sold a chihuahua once to a lady that had recently lost a dog she had had for a long time. I thought the dog had passed because of age but it was sick. She called me and asked that I take the dog back because it was such a hand full for her and I did. I give her her money back and was happy to have the little fellow back. The problem was, he had got what her dog had had then brought it back to my house. I lost the little guy after he was hospitalized and almost lost one other. It cost me well over a thousand dollars between the two plus a broken heart.

That's very sad and rather bad of her not to say, and to not clean up the place so another animal didn't get sick.

Sorry to hear Ping is sick. I hope he will be ok! I will keep him in my thoughts! Having a sick animal, large or small is not fun at all! Been there! It sucks!

Thanks! He's kind of not real steady on his feet, but hopefully the shot will bring down his fever and he'll start feeling better.

Hope your little guy is OK. I'm pretty fortunate because my guys don't get that sick. Lucy was drinking lots at one stage and really thin and I took her to the vet but he could find nothing in her urine or bloods and she came good in the next few days. The dogs and cat might have an occasional upset tummy because they ate too much of the wrong thing but it's usually a bit of a temperature and then they throw up then they're OK again. If anything goes on more than 24 hours, I will take them to the vet.

I hope I'm worrying for nothing too. The roomie and I are getting better about doing what the vet orders, except for Nef, who got upset by Prissy and spent the rest of the week on top of the cabinetry!

Awe, the poor lil thing. I pray the vet's advice and help works and the kitty feels better soon. I'm usually a nervous wreck if my pets are sick. I will pray alot for sweet Ping. Keep us posted on how the progress is!

I got amused with your cats' names. They're cute! But I also felt sad knowing that they are sick. I also send my pets to the vet when they are sick. It makes me feel worried especially that they can't tell us how they are feeling. At least the vet can explain and can give medications to make them get well

I have a lot of cats, and some of them were supposed to be adopted so we didn't work too hard on names, considering them "throw-a-way" names... but everyone seems to love Ping and Pong as names! Flower came with the name, because she has a partial stripe down her back like a skunk... she is a bit of a stinker too... Her sister we named Blossom. While they are a few years younger, we suspect they might be related to Oliver, the kitten in my avatar - who turns 7 the first of October.
