vintage comeback..

This last year with fashion we have seen a real come back of the vintage-esque clothing.
My personal favourite at the moment is the houndstooth, or dogtooth.
I was talking to my mum last night about it and she was able to tell me that she wore that kind of fabric when it first came out!
I just wondered how many people on Mylot have seen trends come back from when they were young?
What do you think of this?

For the past couple of years, I have seen the trend from the 60s, 70s and 80s come back. I love those styles except for the 80s. They're my least favourite.
Nowadays though, my country is pretty much influenced by the Korean fashion.

they say that fashion does repeat itself every few years except it comes back in a slightly different way. i have seen these houndstooth jackets in the stores and may be getting one when they go on sale in January. hope they are still around then! i think they go with pretty much anything!

I had a pair of black and white houndstooth low cut bell bottom pants when I was a young teenager. I loved them. Kinda dates me, doesn't it? 
I wouldn't wear them now, though! I also had a gray knitted dress that was straight as a pencil with a cowl neck and cap sleeves. Twiggy was in and that was good because I was skinny and could wear any of that sort of thing.
