I recently upgraded my Ipad operating system from version 5 to 6. Although the upgrade went well without errors, there are some things that work 100 % before that does not work now. I a wondering if anyone here knows how to restore the ipad to the previous version/state. BTW, restoring it using iTunes maybe is out of the question because that is one of the issues that I am having. iTunes does not recognize the iPad after the OS upgrade. Let me know. Thanks

Hi Muelitz, Sorry I don't know how to restore the OS of ipad from version 6 to 5. The reason why I'm writing this post is to thank you for sharing your experience of the IOS 5 to 6 upgrade. I too am contemplating whether or not to upgrade my ipad OS also. However after reading this I guess I better stick to IOS 5. Hope someone else can help you. Have a good day.

That would be a wise decision on your part. There are still a lot of issues that Apple has not fixed. The big one that they have addressed is the wifi issue. The maps is a big issue as well. I am not sure when it will all be fixed. Maybe wait for a few months is what I will do the next time there is an update.

Have you tried looking up help vids on YouTube regarding downgrading iOS? I used to look there before when I had to downgrade from a previous jailbroken iPhone. I recently upgraded the iOS of my sister's iPad to iOS 6. Don't see any problems there yet. I have read Tim Cook's apology regarding the Maps feature. Hope they fix it soon.
