I don't know whether that is my fault or the credit card company fault. I couldn't find my billing statement for September loan payment, I thought I lost it, or they didn't send it to me. Because I was really good at keep track of my bill statement every month, except for this month. So, I accessed to my account through online, and print out the online statement, along with the address I suppose to send to, with the the personal check. After 5 days, the received payment was shown on my checking account statement, and it also posted in the loan account. Today, I received this September statement, and claimed that I past due $54, and the due date is September 23. But I already sent the payment before that day, and they already posted online. What kind of mistake is that? And also, the postage on the envelope was sent by them on September 26 too. Also, I knew that they never send me that statement on the beginning of September, and they re -send it at the end of month, which is past the due date. What kind of tactics they are trying to pull. Are they trying to make money from me by accusing me pay late? That is dirty. How would you handle that situation?

It sounds like they are trying to get more money out of you. I am not sure how you paid the bill, but if you paid by check I would send them a copy of your canceled check. I would call the credit card company and ask to speak to a manager so they can clear this up. Since you have all this proof the company needs to make the corrections and take off the late fee. Sadly, the credit card companies make their money by charging late fees and having people go over their credit line. It does sound like the company never sent you a bill in the first place which is their fault not yours.

Hi kingparker! Perhaps that is just a mistake of the company. You just need to call their attention about it to reconcile your records. I'm sure they would realized it especially if they found out that you actually did pay before due date. I also have a credit card and for 5 months I was not able to see my bill. That is because I was temporarily assigned in another place. But since I know my due date, I see to it that I pay before that date. Although I am sure I cannot pay the whole amount, it is enough that I could pay at least the minimum amount due.
