It's really hard for him to have his car damage more than five times already this year.
He's using a decade plus old second hand Nissan California which didn't have that much of a major change in the vehicle, specially the engine.
he's owned a lot of people simply for that accelerator replacement and change alone. though we thought about him buying a new car, we fear it would be just carnapped.
Tomorrow I will watch over the mechanic if he comes just to put the accelerator. hope it works because my brother has asthma and can't take the smoke.

Hi Letran,
If a car crawls into your pocket so deep because of the repairs it needs, it's better to give it up and buy a new one, or a second hand but newer model. It could be sentimentalism that holds back from parting with it, but being practical than sentimental is the better way to go. About the carnapping thing, he can take precautionary measures by making sure he parks in secured parking spaces, and not going to places where carnapping incidence is believed to be high.

Hello doryvien, I don't want him to buy a new one for now because he owes a lot of debt not only with the purchase of his home but also some car repairs and parts replaced. with the carnapping goes rampant these days, i doubt a new car would be of much help. plus, my brother is a fighter, so he might get killed for fighting for his car

Well I thikn it is high time to assess if the car can still service you or not. Since the repair cost can sometimes be very costly already and the frequency of it getting repaired will be more often than if you decide to buy a new one. I think those factors you should consider. The risk of a car being carnapped can be managed of course but you cannot eliminate that risk for a new car. Budget should also be considered if you can afford then I think you should replace the old one.

Hello Rsa101, I don't know about that, my brother isn't always looking at the car just like every one elses when they work. I still think about replacing the car alarm with the new one instead. that car has been around for so many years.

hi,
black smoke usually came from that old model of the vehicles because of the old engine, because there are brand new car/vehicle looks but the engine is not that good anymore, but people still using of it because no money to change there vehicle or to buy another new one.

hi LK,
Actually I know how it feels when your car started to be repaired well expect it will happen again and again and it will cost too much
.
Well maybe your brother can buy a new car but with alarm on it or not that expensive one.
happy mylotting

Hello Bhabycatch, another thing is that he disabled his car alarm because it malfunctioned years back. we don't have that a lot of money for the repairs and he has kids to schooling and feed. I think he can replace his alarm with a new one, old cars are unattractive to carnappers

Its the same case as my parents Tamaraw FX. It has lots of problem already. Even if they replace that certain part, another problem will come out.
Maybe for sentimental reasons thats why he still have that car? Or maybe its hard for him for it to be replaced into something new? Buying him a new car if you can is much okay than having so much trouble and headache in his car now. As to carnapping, maybe you should add security alarms?
