I think we need to simply respect the fact that mylot only allows English to be type in every post that we do.
How can that be hard? even if you don't read all the guidelines a lot of mylotters are gonna tell you that this site is mostly english.
But it seemed that some people just don't get it.
Recently I just saw some one spoke another language, either the person didn't care or didn't better reading the guidelines at least.
Any language other than english or i think doesn't have english in the post is deleted.
Just wondering when some people are gonna learn, when this is actually simple rule...

There are many reles in this site that some people don`t obey. This is just one of them, but not the most broken. Most of the mylotters, from all over the world, make an effort to write in English. And all of us that we have another language as our native tongue learn some English by doing so. I think that the rules that are mostly broken are the ones about promoting sites where you can earn online. That is done several times every day; the language one is broken only once in a while and gets quickly reported because not many people can understand the post and report it.

Hello marguicha
I had several trainings in english before i got to mylot and still I got a lot of errors or corrected by some other mylotters out there. but mylot isn't discriminative as long as it's spoken well in english, that's no problem. i speak english but i had violations too.
have a nice day

it is a simple rule and people should understand it or else as you say they will get there posts deleted. Mylot has this rule in place because there are people from all over the world on Mylot if everybody was talking in their own language no one will understand whats going on. Maybe these people who put foreign posts couldnt understand the rules.

Hello Olliekobra1, It's not fair to those who only speaks english, knowing that most of us considers english as second language. It's impossible that they couldn't understand the post because they can type english, they would have type their own language the first time they got here. so, there's no excuse if all of a sudden they speak a different language.

The reason for that is that mylot admin or English from America, they cannot read other languages and so that is the rule all in English.
I think you are right some people don't read the guidelines and others don't even speak English but want to make conversations.

Hello winterrose, yeah and that is very clear as the sky as you view it. how can some one communicate properly if the person started speaking their dialect? there's nothing wrong if you have problem speaking it as long as you type it here in english. who ever said i was agood at speaking english, but i can type good

Newbies and their laziness to read the guidelines.
I only have encountered that once years ago, I thought that also that that is the first and simplest rule here. It's really sad when new members won't be able to follow that. I mean even without reading the guidelines here, one can simply tell this site only allows one to speak English. How could everyone be able to respond if one speaks another language, just that simple. Sigh*

Hello Gaiza12, this should not happen again, how hard can it be? they should type english it's no so hard, you can learn from here. how can one learn from such if he or she won't try to type, it's even harder when you actually speak it the first time.

It is a simple rule that is right in the guidelines but if you don't read the guidelines I guess you will have to be told over and over again! It is ridiculous that people do not read the rules here but we all know some just don't...

Hello lovingmybabies, How can it be so hard, when you already type english, it's easy compare to actually speaking it unless you had education for it. took me like a while before i can speak better english again. the guy type english first in his first few discussions, there's no need to type another.

It is quite obvious that English only is used here because all discussions are written in English. Nevertheless, if a member is responding to a post by a fellow countryman then I can understand that the temptation is to do so in their own language, this is simply human nature.
Unfortunately, Mylot cannot really allow this because they need to police the site and remove obscene or offensive and inflammatory discussions or comments. It would not be possible to monitor this properly if posts were made in a language that they cannot read, so deletion is the only safe action to take.

hi letran i have run into discussion after discussions with these odd abbreviations like u for you dat for that kwim that means know what I me an. I hate that as its not English and its just pure
darned laziness on the part of the user.It is not hard to write
in just plain English don[t make us translate and too it could get your discussion deleted too.

When I see a discussion that is in another language I just do not respond. If I cant understand what the title says I sure wont be able to understand the discussion. In order to respond to the discussion I would have to be able to understand it. I figure that those people will either end up leaving my lot or they will learn to abide by the rules. I would think that they would eventually question why they were not making any money either if all of their discussions were being removed from the site. Just my thoughts any way

Hello Autumn, Well, when I saw a discussion i couldn't understand, the only choice is to report it before others imitate what the person just did. well, if they keep breaking it then they will be removed through their account deletion. believe me, I've experienced it and almost twice this year i think. it's not about making money but making a good english post

hi,
yes,we have to use an English language here so that everyone can understand what they say,but i still have seen some user here who used there native or there language in their country and its really hard to understand,so that some user can't response to the topic.

My feelings are they do not bother to read the guidelines. And even if they do, they may not comprehend everything since obviously English is not their first language. It's hard to believe if someone is aware of that simple rule then deliberately break it; what for, anyway, nothing can be gained as it will be deleted.

Hello Sishy, yeah nothing can be gained if you speak a different language since no one else will understand it. they think we won't notice it for their own good but we have a lot of eyes here and the people of mylot is totally aware of it.English is not my first language but that doesn't mean it would give me excuse to break such simple rule
