Well Garfield is really super active and playful. Running around the house and even in the backyard. When I arrived at home from work my mom told me that Garfield caught a small bat. How? My dad concluded that maybe he caught it in one of the trees in the backyard. Garfield used to run and climb in some trees in our backyard. Just weird about what happened and keep wondering how he did and caught that poor little bat. My mom said that the bat was already dead when they saw Garfield.

I see Garfield has graduated from lizards to bats! He's a very talented and useful friend to have. I'm sure he killed the bat very quickly. Once in a while a mouse will find it's way into my house. I have 3 cats. Usually if my cats catch it they play with the poor thing, just tormenting it. I take it away and put it back outside. I enjoy reading about the adventures of Garfield (your Garfield, not the cartoon). He's an enjoyable little friend to have around.

I am also fond of bats, but I wouldn't want them in my house. I do live in the city with the largest urban bat colony. We even have celebrations in honor of them! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batfest

We hd a bat in our house, my one cat Patches ended up chasing it. She didnt want to eat it, and supposeable they give off a nasty tste in their mouth. But she thought it was a toy to play with and was chasing it. She did hit it with her paw, and knocked it down all proud of herself.

Well probably Garfield thought and assumed that it is one of my nephew toy that's why he grabbed it since he really like to play most of the time.

I have a friend. This friend moved to Pennsylvanian with her family and their 2 cats. Their landlady wasn't really thrilled with 2 cats, but after the younger one went up to the attic and killed and brought down a bat, he could do no wrong! He continued killing bats for several years.

That's one way to gain popularity! Good little cat to keep around. I have a bat house in my back yard as they eat all the bugs that bother me at night in the summer sitting outside. I actually noticed a decrease in mosquitoes and other little pesky flying bugs. But my cats are indoors so they're not apt to get the bats. I very seldom even see a bat. I like how that worked out for the bat catching cat. Very good.

Garfield that is a popular name for a cat, like Garfield in the cartoons. Probably your cat is adorable. I may conclude that Garfield is a good hunter. I have not yet heard a story just like yours. Since we knew that bat's fly I really wonder how Garfield caught the bat?.
