When Gerard praise his manager, Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers come from Swansea city with many expectations..
He is one of the talented manager last season...
but when he moves to Liverpool, he didn`t change his philosophy to gives more trust to the young player..
and he does this season..
even it`s not succes until now, but one senior player in Liverpool praise with what had been done by Brendan Rodgers..He is the captain, Steven Gerard
With the limited budget from management, brendan rodgers only buy the player like Joe Allen, Fabio Borini, Oussama Assaidi and borrow Nuri Sahin..many liverpudlian of course unhappy with this transfer policy..
and it makes rodgers must explore Liverpool academy player like Raheem Sterling (one of the good player from Liverpool academy, Brendan Rodger always play him in several games), Suso and Adam Morgan..
Gerard says that brendan rodgers had done his job with well..It`s the right when Brendan try to play youngster..It`s good too for the team..You should give many chance playing for the youngster...As one of the elder player, i try to guide junior player...we have a good combination between the youngster and experienced player..
What do you think about the impact of policy of Brendan ROdgers for Liverpool?? is it good for Liverpool like Gerard opinion??

I think that Rodgers' style of play conforms to Liverpool fans expectations of 'a passing game'.However, although this is pleasing to watch, I think that they may soon get impatient if they do not start picking up results fast. I know that they have just beaten Norwich 5-2 but that is no big deal. Nevertheless, it may boost their confidence so that they can start to move forward. They have been criticised for trying to play too much passing football-this is true when you look at Carlos Tevez's equalizer for Man City earlier in the season.....the left back should have played the ball long up the field rather than always look for the short pass. Here, it cost Liverpool 2 points and victory as Tevez sniffed out the mistake.I think that sometimes they need to be more flexible and play the ball longin such situations. I know Rodgers is a massive fan of Barcelona....but Liverpool are NOT Barcelona, not by a long way!

i don`t get the real information that Rodgers is fan of barcelona
if his tactics is similar with barcelona tactics, it doesn`t mean we can judge brendan rodgers is fans of barcelona..
maybe it`s suitable with his philosophy
of course Brendan rodgers know that this is liverpool and not barcelona..he really know it..
but don`t you ever notice that Brendan Rodgers didn`t get the maximal support from management for getting his target player??
one of his target player is Clint Dempsey..but dempsey choose Spurs as his next destination

I know that Rodgers used to fly to Barcelona frequently to study their training and philosophy. He is trying to instill Barca's 'six second rule' into Liverpool(ie: recovering the ball within 6 seconds of losing it).
He may have to work harder than 'big name' managers and it is a pity if he has not been backed by his board in the transfer market. However, the Norwich game apart, a team like Liverpool should not be struggling as they have been. I'm sure they will finish the season more strongly but they have no chance of a top four finish.

I think a lot of people are impressed with the way Rodgers is going about his business. There were many doubters, myself included when he started his work at Liverpool, but slowly he seems to be turning things around at Liverpool. We saw the first impact of it in the field in the last two weeks. They were unlucky to lost to City, but since then they seem to have regained their winning touch. Sterling has been revelation, Sahin is beginning to come into his own now. The only problem is in the striking department with Suarez not being a consistent goal scorer who on his day can be spectacular like last week and on others can miss sitters!!

Rodgers did an excellent job while at Swansea and they were playing some of the most eye-pleasing football in the BPL. He had bring his philosopy to Liverpool. While they had a bad start, Liverpool should come good once the players get use to his style. And with some new signings, they can be a force to reckon with.
