Again, I encountered the worst service at a bank in our locality, a local branch of BPI. Much time was wasted waiting because only one teller was serving more than 70 clients. There were other workers in that bank who obviously were not doing anything. They were chatting and practically wasting time. It was obvious that this local bank does not have a manager who could check on the workers. It was almost lunch time when another teller came, but guess what. Instead of hastening the work, it took her so much time cash counting etc., things she is supposed to do at the start of office work. It was so frustrating and irritating to be at the mercy of these people who are so insensitive of other people's time. They can waste all the time in their work and they still get paid highly for it. Our time wasted is really wasted time. Have you ever experienced such lousy service?

hi cutie18f.
yeah, things like those happen in banks. i'm a bpi client as well and although i experienced bad service back then, it was with a branch that was not my choice. one of my previous companies opened my payroll account there so i had to deal with them. anyway, to cut the long story short, i was really unimpressed with the bad service that i got that i had to email their head office to file a complaint. anyway, the service was so bad that i had to close my account with them. our company then followed suit and decided to transfer our company'a hr account to a different bpi branch.
anyway, the next time you experience bad service, whether it is in a bank or a restaurant, it is best top take note of what happened. list down the details, the date, day, and time it happened and what exactly transpired and what made the service a 'bad' one and you can file a complaint with the erring company. in your own way, you can prevent bad service from happening again.
hope this helps.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

hi cutie18f.
yes, it is highly recommended that you do this. just remember to stick to the facts and leave out your emotions when you raise your concern. otherwise, you might be seen as a disgruntled client.
hope it pans out right for you.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I would blame the bank manager or whomever was the supervisor in charge at that time for the inconvenience you went through. I also had similar experiences like this not with BPI but some other banks. One such instance is with PSBank, which opens at 8:30 AM. It was almost 9:00 when banking transactions started due to supposedly problems with their system. What's irritating though is that the manager was indifferent, and nonchalantly talked to someone on the phone, laughing loudly at that. The least she could've done was informed us of the problem and be apologetic about it.

So sorry that you have had such bad service with your bank. I have experienced bad service at one branch of my current bank. I opened the bank in my home town but then I had to move to another area of the state but I still kept my account with the same bank. My home town bank was always quick to help out in any way possible, quick customer service and always very friendly and nice. The area that I moved to was the complete opposite. There was a teller in the bank that thought she was so much better than everyone else. She constantly had a frown on her face and she was always snippish with a majority of the customers and to her fellow employees. I helped both of my son's open up accounts at the bank after they graduated high school. Well my oldest son overdrew his account and then closed it. He was paying the amount that he owed back to the bank with each check he received. Well since he no longer had an account she would always give him a hard time about cashing his check from work. He attempted to several times and she would always refuse. I called the 1-800# and talked to a customer service rep. The rep told me that it would be fine to cash his check at the local branch in order for the debt to be paid. The next time he got paid I went with him to the bank. We waited in the drive through because all of the parking spots were empty. I was 8 months pregnant and it was about 100 degrees outside and we did not have AC in our vehicle... needless to say I was less than chipper when we finally got to the window. She started with the same old song and dance talking about how his account was closed and that she would not cash his check yada yada... I promptly told her that the 1-800 customer service # said different and that if she would stop being such a fricking Bi#c& and do her job that perhaps the line wouldn't be so dang long in the parking lot.... The young teller next to her got this big smile on her face but quickly hid it. I guess I am the only person who ever stood up to this particular teller. You would think that she owned the bank.... I have finally moved back to my home town and the service is much nicer now.
I hope you get your solution solved.

With banks, I haven't experienced that kind of service. We are always treated like VIP's in our bank because we have been transacting with them for years already and we are treated as premier clients. We don't have to line up for any transactions at all and when the manager or accountant would see us waiting on a chair, they would usually ask if a teller has already attended our needs.
I have encountered lousy service in Smart Telecom office though. And the employees there are so much just like the ones you mentioned in your discussion.
