I didn't put the tag on there

The khaki pants I have, they've never fit me. They are a hand me down from an ex friend of mine, but those are the only ones that fit me almost decently. I still have to wear a belt, which I've had to duct tape together. Well I went to walmart, looked through their khakis quickly. I saw the little sticker they have for discounts, saying $7.00. Now Admittedly the sticker was where it looked like someone had put it on there themselves, I mean a customer. I go up to self check-out and that is the first thing I scan. It comes up $21.99. I kind of figured that the pants wouldn't be $7.00. I asked the Self checkout cashier about it and she says "It's not $7.00" I say "Well I didn't put it on there!" She goes "I'll have someone check for you." So another person comes over, and gives me this look, I say it even more... expressive "I didn't put it on there!" she says "I'll go check for you" so she does, or maybe she just puts them back. I only had a few items, but she was still gone when I waited a few seconds before deciding to just pay because I didn't want to hold up anybody. I pay and go to leave, the woman didn't say anything to me about "well aren't you going to wait?" or anything. I DID NOT put the tag there, but I felt as if they thought I did. The second lady to come up gave me this look like "You put it there" and it was an expressive look she gave too. I thought about calling them up and complaining. For one, if I was going to put a tag on the pants? I'd know WHERE to put it where they'd be more convinced someone from walmart had put it! Have you ever been accused of something like this? Would you call and complain?

If they said something I would. Just a look you can't really complain about. I would keep it in mind though and if anything else happens I would add this to it. I was just at Walmart and got our groceries for the month, my grandson's Halloween costume, my daughter's and some candles. I spent over $400.00! I wonder what you'd pay for a pair of khaki's at a store in the Mall. Hmmm.

I imagine khakis would be more at the mall then they would be at walmart. I will probably end up going back and getting a pair of khakis from there as I do need to anyway. I know you can't tell by a look and that is one reason why I didn't call back, but wish I did. A week before I had been ignored. Walmart isn't a good work enviromment and that can turn the shopping experience into a bad shopping experience. As is, the location I go to is always very busy with too many people in it.

Oh, ya! The Mall is expensive. What I was getting at is that the $21.99 was really a pretty good price. Maybe there will be a sale. I have heard lots of stories about the work environment at Walmart. Especially for women. That may have to do with the look/attitude you got. It is always busy at our Walmart here too.

Oh yes, I get what you are saying. Plus Walmart is much closer, I might as well get them there. I'll be getting paid more this week, so I'll be able to get them, well actually I suppose I won't get that paycheck until the week after next, but either way...

I found a long, suede, shearling-style coat at Walmart once for $50. I thought that it had to be a mistake so I asked someone in the store and was assured it was the correct price. At the register I still didn't believe it, but it was. I wore that coat for several years before finally giving it away earlier this year. At other times, the situation hasn't gone so well, but then I just don't buy the item if I think the price is too much. On another note, I got khakis from Walmart when I was teaching enrichment classes because I wanted clothing easy to launder that I wouldn't mind getting dirty. I bought them on clearance from the website. They almost always have deals for $10 or less.

From the website itself huh? Hmm I'll check into that then. I've never thought of buying clothes from the website. In fact, I think I've only ever had one thing delivered directly from walmart to my home. Usually it's going to the store, or site to store pick up. Walmart has some nice coats but I've not looked at the prices of them in years. I usually wear hoodies or the coats I already have now.

Especially when it comes to walmart, that place is usually busy and if it's too busy it seems to be busy with whiney mean customers and irritated mean cashiers.

I have ordered a bunch of stuff with 97 cent shipping. I only ship to the store when it will be pricey to ship something to me. I like the convenience of shopping online because it saves time and you can do it at any hour.

I don't think that they should have judged you like that and perhaps I would phone and complain but will it change Walmart? I don't really think it will change the way that cusgtomers are treated. I liked to shop at Walmart but the customer service was not good at all. No, this has not happened to me and if it did then I would fel so embarrassed.

It really just depends on the stores you go to, a lot of people here have said their walmart staff are friendly and helpful. There is one store that I've not gone too in a long time, but it's a walmart and they are friendly. I can't go 30 minutes to walmart everytime I want to shop though, as it's ridiculous. This last time I went (yesterday) wasn't as bad though I didn't exactly like the way the cashier packed my bags. I guess I'm just picky like that though. You are right though, it won't really change walmart, not enough.

I know here, I see tags that low on things when they really want to get ride of the item. Now I wouldnt even say anything. I know Walmart is the worse, tehy always seem to have this vibe like your stealing something. I know a few have followed me around, and when I asked if I can help them since it seems like they are lost they go no I;m doing my job making sure you don;t steal anything. I havent been back to that Walmart, nor will I go back. I would do the same, just leave and be fuming about it even email head office saying the poor service, and how the staff treated you even if they didnt say aything about it.

There has been other incidents I wanted to report, but I called the store directly. I suppose if it gets any worse I will call the head office, but the head office may not do much. They'll send the District Manager down, but then of course everyone will be on their best behavior then. They have security officers (usually two) who wear "plain clothes" and walk around the store. Yesterday when I was there I am pretty sure I spotted the security officer for our store. THAT is the only one who should be following you around, and they are trained to know whom may or may not be shoplifting.
