PMS anyone?

I'm sorry but this discussion is more directed to the ladies of Mylot. I just find it absurd that at my age (39), I still experience PMS. Like, last night I couldn't sleep because my lower back was killing me. And true enough, my period started this afternoon. Now as I sit before my laptop, I have to place medicated patches on my back to ease the pain. Is it just me, or are there other ladies here who share my same fate?

I always experience PMS. But there are months that I don't. I usually experience when my period is delayed. And yes, it's too painful. Haven't tried anything to heal it down. But I think it's a gynecological disorder that's becoming normal to ladies. Like right now, my period is already delayed and my abdomen is starting to get painful, same with my back.

I am having the same symptoms where it seems my whole abdomen is bloated and my back is killing me. Thanks for your response ladies. At least I know I'm not alone with this pain.

I hate the bloated abdomen. It makes my jeans so fit on the tummy part. Back pain is on the process of punishing me right now. I already put some menthol oil to relieve the pain but it isn't that effective.

I think it's just the hormones spiking up... ^_^ My mom still experiences the same things and from what I've read about PMS these things do happen. However, it it becomes too unbearable, it would be advisable for you to go to your gyne and have her check on your condition just to be safe. :) I hope all is well with your health!

My OB just told me to take simple pain relievers in case I can't bear the pain, but to stay away from those if I can bear as much pain as I can. I had ovarian cysts, so she is linking my PMS with that. Thanks for your response.

That's right, getting dependent on pain medications lessens the effectivity for when you really need it more. :) Whoa, ovarian cysts. Were you able to have them taken out? I hope they're not bad or anything now. .

I am suffering from PMT at the moment, and I honestly don't know what I should be doing about it. One of the bad things about it is that I am snapping at my family members when they haven't done anything to deserve that in the slightest. Certainly my Father is in my firing line, and my brother, because for some reason I always aim my anger at the men in my life. But I think that I will be alright again on Wednesday as this is when my symptoms should be over. I can't wait for it, because it seems to have got to me a lot worse this month for some reason.

There are really those months when we seem to snap at anyone. Since I live alone, I would direct my mood swings at my cat, who would look at me afterwards with soulful eyes as if saying "what did I do?". Thanks for your response.

I've always associated PMS with mood swings and not physical pain like back pain. As far as I can remember, I've never suffered from PMS. I do get a little cramp but it's not excessively painful that it affects my mood. I hope your back pain is not that serious.

It's not that serious. I just find it annoying that I experience this each month. Thanks for your response.
