Disability is a state of mind

The mind is very powerful and make the body obey its commands. Even if a person is physically disabled, if the mind is willing, the person can still lead a normal and happy life. Contrarily, a person can be unhappy even if the body is healthy but the mind is dissatisfied and restless. So we are what our minds make us. My wife is disabled but her will power is very strong so she always try to remain happy and try to make others happy with whatever she has. She is taking tuition of poor students and help them in studying without taking any fee from them. I also help her. Do you agree that disability is a state of mind?

Hey its so nice to know that you and your wife help poor students without charging them.yes my friend i also agree that disability is mind state too.well physical disability also make people suffer but mental disability is worst.mentally disable person is unable to avail the happiness of life despite of healthy body and worsens the good environment.

My little boy is five years old. He has got spina bifida which affects his back and hydrocephalus which affects his head. He is unable to walk so he goes around in a wheelchair. He has to have catheter care. I try to give him a very happy time in life. My son is disabled in a physical way.

Hi,
I feel very sad for your son. But you should encourage him and try to make his life happy. One of my friend's son is bed ridden. He is 21 years old. But he works on mylot. He suggested this site of mylot. I am here because of him. He has completed his graduation. His parents always encourage him and make him happy. They gave him some books of disabled people who are facing life bravely. Thank you for the response.

You are right. There are many great people who are mentally productive. Helen Keller is the example of such great person. She was blind but she has done great work for blind people. Thank you for the response.

yes, physical disability is nothing , we can over come it if we have the will and can achieve anything in life. It all depends on our mind , so people should always be encouraged so that they feel strong in their mind.
