as with resistive i can use any pointed object to use the touchscreen. but the capacitive touchscreen it would only respond to my touch. so when my hands are wet i have to dry it first before i would be able to touch the screen and also the screen won't respond if it is a bit wet. although people usually prefer to use the capacitive because it is more responsive and respond faster.

I also do like the resistive touch screen phones when they are compared to that of the capacitive ones. I feel it more comfortable to navigate through the phone using the stylus. With the help of the stylus I can go even to the smallest part of the page which is not possible when we are dealing with our fingers in a capacitive touch screen.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Yes u are absolutely right, capacitive ones respond very quick and fast but they are not much advantageous when our hands are wet or when they come in contact with any sharp object. While on the other hand, resistive ones can be used whether your hands are dirty or wet, there wont be any such issues. What say?

i like the capacitive ones more, as I have resistive touch screen phones, and it seemed like I had to push down before i even got a response from it. I barely touch the capacitive, and it loads up right away. I do have to watch though, as when I am putting my phone in my pocket or purse, it will load up a game or a website as one of the icons got accidentally touched. I usually wait until my screen goes black so that wont happen. I know that most people like the resistive touch screens and that is okay too. Everyone is different, that is for sure. I do enjoy my galaxy s3 very much, and I have never regretted buying it. Take care, and have a great day.
