It was a nice fight.. i was just disappointed that his opponent didn't throw thta many punches.. but he did at some point.. He fell down twice.. it was a really good end, Nonito was really patient and waited for a good shot to knock down his opponent and he did. It really pays to be patient.

Another reason to be proud that we are Filipinos. Not only do we have Manny Pacquaio but we have other great athletes and boxers just like Nonito Donaire.

yes, this made me even more proud of being a Filipino. It's such a shame that our country cannot support most of our athletes since they have lots of otehr problems to solve first and we have little budget.

Another milestones for Donaire that every Filipinos be proud off. I didn't followed the whole fight but I admire the speed of Donaire during the game. He is truly "FLASH" in the Philippines. Next time I follow his fight, no more excuses regarding work.

I wasn't able to watch the whole fight but just seen the news clipping video which highlighted the to TKO that made Donaire the winner in this bout. Oh well looks like he is the one to follow the footstep of Pacquiao. I am happy that once again we Pinoys have proven our worth in boxing once again.

Yeah, there is no one else to follow Pacquaio other than him. I am still looking forward for Manny's fights though.. I hope they continue to have more success.

The fight between Donaire and Nishioka was a good one, although we have seen that Nishioka was too cautious of Donaire's punching power forcing him to always hide behind his gloves. Few punches were seen and less action happened during the first half of the fight causing some boo's from the crowd. I was very appreciative of Donaire for patiently breaking down Nishioka's defense bit by bit, and not carelessly going into a full brawl, a signal that Donaire is following his game plan. The thrilling knockout and stoppage has cemented him to be the next icon of Philippine boxing. Pacquiao is nearing his heyday, and his fights are getting slower and slower, not unlike when he was still young and eager for a knockout win. So congratulations to you Nonito, long live, and keep our country proud.

yeah, i didn't like that Nishioka punched so little, bu then it is a sure win for Nonito.. but then he got aggressive towards the end.. and fell into Nonito's trap. it was a good plan.

I think the fight was one sided, the Filipino flash was just too much for the Japanese, something just short of a mismatch, just too fast, too strong and too talented, never expected this would happen to Nishioka especially when I saw him fight and dispose of Rafael Marquez (younger brother of the famous Juan Manuel).

Yeah, it was one sided for the first 5 or 6 rounds, i guess. I never saw Nishika fight before.. i was quite shocked since it is usually mexican who fight with Filipinos.. i though he would punch more too.

it was really a nice fight, but for me it's not too exciting. the Japanese boxer is not throwing a strong punch to Donaire. Since Donaire is good he throws only one jab to the Japanese boxer and that's it the fight is finished. Filipino boxers are really a tough and great fighters.

I guess nishioka didn't want to get hit,so h always had his hand on his face.. Yeah, Filipino boxers are really dedicated to their sport. They spend so much time practicing and it's touching that some of them even cry after they win.

Yes, indeed. i am quite worried though, since Bob Arum said he still got a lot of people to fight with Nonito, he might get so tired.. since boxing is a really tiresome sport and it takes months to fully recover.

Yes he did.. Nonito was usually throwing combinations.. 2-3.. he was also very fast.. I got worried when he got cornered by Nishioka, turns out, he was kind of waiting for an opportunity like that and BAm, he threw a huge punch.

Yes, he definitely deserved to win.. if he lost in that fight...there would have been another scandal or whatever.. I also hear many people cheer for the Jap, maybe there were lots of Japanese people there.
