As many of you know, I live in the Southers Hemisphere and we are in Spring. So now, careing for my garden is an everyday task because if I don`t do it, weeds take over. I have some hydrangea plants that I inherited from my mother in law. They are over 20 years old and I didn`t even know the lived so long. There`s pruning to do in Winter but now I have to water them like mad. Do you have hydrangeas in your garden? What care do you give them? Fortunatly we have mild Winters, but still they lose all their leaves then.

I have Hydrangeas in my backyard but they are very young. I am kind of leaving them alone right now so they can get established. I am no green thumb and the stuff seems to do better when I leave them alone. Any secrets on how to make them very happy would be appreciated though..lol.

All I know about Hydrangeas is that they need lots of water, like better an acidic soil and light, but not scorching sun. When I have the hose in my hand in Summer, I say " Hydrangea, Hydrangea", while I water it. I do it by hand as the rest of the garden doesn`t need that amount of water.
