When I was in primary level, I used to wait for the school bell rings for recess time. In fact, I was so timid young pupil then. Whenever there's a graded recitation, I used to bow my head and avoid to have an eye-to-eye contact with my teacher. The rule of thumb, you cannot be seated if your answer is wrong. If it is my turn to answer then the bell rang, definiteIy I was saved by the bell.lol.

Well, dear friend, you must know that I am in high school, no I worked hard to achieve good grades. In fact, most of the time, I ended up not even study the day's lesson. Once that happened, fortunately I was not questioned, and all ok. Unfortunately, the end came even my turn, and silent scene, vote = 4
To me personally, the bells have never saved unfortunately.
Only now, at the age of 37 I understand how nice it is to study and learn!

I am also good student in class when I was in High School. In fact, I am always honor roll in class, plus with full scholarship. I didn't pay my tuitions in schools, it only the miscellaneous fees. But then, I was just only feel awkward to stand up in class. Now, I had developed and overcame my shyness. Thanks for sharing.

You are really saved by the bell that time lol.
I cant remember if I do saved by the bell during school days.I used to be one of the smallest boy in the class so I always in front or when its alphabetical, still I was in the front row so I can't hide to my teachers if they have to call someone to recite or answer.

It is not really the case for me. Almost all of my teacher would really consume until the last minute of their time and even extend certain minutes after the bell rang.

Oh. I can so relate to this but you were fortunate to save by the bell because me? I haven't experienced that. I was saved by my classmate but not with an that bell. But once I tried to have an eye to eye contact with the teacher because I was reversing the idea that most of the students who bowed their heads are the ones who will be called. So I confidently looked my teacher into her eyes, but unfortunately, I was then called. Just my luck! .

When I was in the lower years of my education, I was a very shy person and there were many times that I just wished that I could be made invisible so that the teacher would not call on me to answer questions. However, this was solely a stage that I went through because by the time that I was in high school and college, I was able to get up in front of a group of strangers and talk about nearly any subject. I really attribute this to my eighth grade language arts teacher encouraging me to be a part of the speech team.
