Hi lotters.
I couldn't find a rigth thread for this so instaed I posted it here since I know there are so many Muslim people in the Philippines.
this is something to do with the phrase and Muslim.
Is the idiom phrase "Bring Home the Bacon" offensive to Muslim friends because of the fact that bacon is a non-halal?
let me know your thoughts especially if you are a muslim.
I'm all ears to you.

I also believe that an educated Muslim would understand that this idiomatic expression has a different meaning than interpreted literally. I do not see any reason why should they be offended by. Or if they do not understand the meaning behind the phrase then they just avoid using the phrase.

I don't think muslims especially educated muslims will get offended after all they do know that what is offensive to one religion doesn't necessarily mean it is offensive to another.

If I were a muslim and some tells me, "bring home the bacon" I wouldn't be offended. It is just an idiomatic expression after all.
