Searching For The Guru

Every word that we utter or pronounce denote some kind of true sense or purpose. All of us desire to have a boss of our own in our life irrespective of male or female species distinctions. With marriage, it is natural that a girl acquires a new boss in life. At time she is compelled to be led by the new person in her life. At the outset the mother would be the FIRST guru in everyone's life. Later on, a teacher comes into the frame. Still later it is the search of a real GURU which concerns most of the people. The perfect GURU would be able to transform the bodily existence to new frames. The search for the apt GURU is in fact the aim of real life.

why do we need a guru in our physical life. Having an earthly guru would mean we are answerable to his commands and that make us like puppets on the string. Nobody should play the role of God to run our life. I only believe Christ as my spiritual guru.

yes. We all search for happiness. We all search for good things for our children. We all do good things for our people, our country, our institution. Ultimately we search for perfect guru--there is no such person. I read a news in odisha a man cheated others http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bhubaneswar/Self-styled-godman-arrested-in-Odisha/articleshow/16900826.cms?intenttarget=no

Yes I am afraid human beings as guru's does nor work out all that well sometimes. Hopefully most spiritual leader types are good examples of teaching others how to revere God and not fellow humans.

hi sukuar here is where cultures and customs vary.to me a guru is a teacher and in marriage I acquired a mate and we were equal. He was not my boss as I was not his servant, we were mates and we did learn from each other. My parents were my true bosses or gurus. My pastor was also my guru for many years. I doubt that any human being can be a perfect guru as humans are not perfect.so a guru must be close to being a heavenly body brought to earth.

True. We do all want that third guru. I think it needs to be someone that is a part of what you are passionate about in life. The best of this is the spiritual part that leads you on and keeps your interest. Finding the true guru in our lives early on is very helpful to a productive life.

It's been my experience that I do much better learning from many rather then one teacher. I have been very lucky to meet many wise people, but I have also learned that leaning on anyone, other than yourself entwines you in that other person's life challenges, I can easily get sucked right into their lives and wake up one morning finding myself far from the life path I need to travel.

While I will agree with you that the first teachers or gurus in our lives are our parents and as we get older we have other teachers in our lives through formal schooling and other adults that cross across our lives. I have to say that there is one fundamental thing that you said on here that I completely disagree with. You said that when a woman gets married she gets a new boss and this is simply not the truth at all because in a marriage, both parties should be viewed as being even with one another.
