So Nick picks the lock with a knife when Avery locks herself out in just a bathrobe. Then they play chess and what just didn't close the door which allowed Phyllis to just walk in on them. I thought that maybe Avery was right and Nick had broken the lock and that was how Phyllis was able to walk in on them. But that apparently was not the case since Avery got locked out again when a breeze or something closed the door when she was seeing Nick off after he left.

I thought..how stupid...she got locked out cause she didn't have hot water and went next door to use their shower. Come on! No one needs a shower that bad! Call the superintendent of the building! But they will put those two together...obviously. Nick needs to stand up to Phyllis and let her wallow in her own lies and deceits and problems that she brings on to herself. I"m tired of her...she always trashes others, but never has to pay herself. It's like what she's done is no big deal...so she cheated on her husband...twice...so Summer saw them...so she really did do the hit and run...so what! That is kind of what she is protraying to Summer as Summer is drowning in confusion and anger and hurt cause of what her mother did..and doesn't have to own up to it. I think Avery and Nick would be okay. No other single woman for Nick to pair up with and other than Jack...no other men in town for Avery! She is the only one in town that hasn't been with nearly every man in town!
