Did you know that cats with long, lean bodies are more likely to be outgoing, more protective and more vocal than those with a stocky builds?
I just read this and never knew about it. One of my cats right now that I have is a chubby girl and she is pretty friendly, she has always been since she was a wee skinny stray but gained so much weight. But her vocals are quite raspy unless she gets up in arms when seeing a cat outside, then she has been known to 'scream' her lungs out at it, LOL. I guess their personality from the beginning of their lives never truely leaves them for the most part. I have had a bigger cat though who was friendly as well who came to us off the street, that way with his nails off. We kept him in the house due to that and also his size was realllly huge. He was beautiful.

I didn't know it was written up but our Coo*n kittie, Colbert, is long bodied and lean and he is sure outgoing and playful Ofcourse he is young too. heehee Then there is Crystal is our female adopted kitty and she is broad bodied and almost looks like she is pregnant. She has been going outdoors more lately and leaned up alittle.

Oh you have a Maine Coo*n, I lovvvvvvvvvvvve them. My Joey the Maine Coo*n kitty used to be attached to my hip so to speak, he was such a sweetheart. He was so thin, all his 20+ yrs of life. I miss him. Both of your kitties sound like they are adorable.

We do love our Coo*n kitty. He's a sweety. We had one years ago when my daughter was young. His name was Colby Conner and he had long fur and was quite the animal. Now this one is longer and leaner and named Colbert. Colby had so much fur your couldn't see how long he was. Great cats and very smart and sweet to have around. Now we have Colbert, Crystal and the old guy Sabath. He is black and has some siamese in him. When he meows it sounds like a mountain lion. Eery!

This discussion has moved on to an interesting topic. I looked up Coo*n cats on Wikipaedia as I had never heard of them before. I read about their possible ancestors and one of the suggestions was that they may have descended from the Norwegian Forest Cat. Now I have a cat that looks identical to a coo*n cat. She has tufts on her ears and fur between her toes. When I checked out various breeds I thought she must have descended from one of these Forest cats. Check out your coo*n and see if she has short front legs and longer back legs. This is striking feature of Forest Cats and this type of leg structure enables them to be great climbers.
My cat is homely, she likes to go out for a while but she loves to come in. She wants my company and is usually on a chair beside me or waiting outside a door for me to come out. She purrs easily and loves to lie on her back and be stroked. She is a very passive cat. I've had cats before but none like her. She has this wonderful tail which she waves like a flag, in previous cats this was a sign of ill temper, but not this one. She is very vocal although it is not a sweet meow, more of a squeak. I know a little of her background because I knew her mother and grandmother. The grandmother, short haired silver tabby, mated with a massive long haired pure white male. She had a beautiful litter of long haired cats. One of these kittens was all black and had long silky fur - she is the mother of my cat.
Whatever the background of these beautiful long haired cats, I think they are the loveliest pets one could have.

Thanks a ton for posting this discussion. Well it was pretty strange and weird to know about those survey about the cats. Glad to hear about the cats u possess and i am hoping that everytime they are with u, u must be having a great time. Yes of course the survey cannot be true all the times, the cat might possess certain characteristics according to the survey but it is not mandatory that it will have all the qualities and attributes according the survey result.
What say?

It wasn't a survey but I guess some kind of observation they did. Anyways those things sort of tend to be on the iffy side anyways and not 100% true, it's kind of like categorizing one group of people into the same sequence where it doesn't always pan out. Well thanks for answering my discussion anyways LOL. Looks like I probably won't get many others again.
