Warning labels on junk food?

Do you think warning labels, reducing the amount of advertisments allowed and increase in tax on such foods will make a difference in what society eats? I think the commercials may do more than a warning label. I don't think there are enough people who read labels. People go by advertising and what their taste buds crave weather or not it's any good for you. http://www.grab-media.com/premium-videos/5019320/

For me if I saw it on television it would have much more
effect on weather or not I will buy it, because I do not
read labels at all...But to see it for myself I will remember
what I heard when I pick it up at the supermarket next time...

Commercials never stopped smokers, and neither did warning labels. Increasing prices seems to be the main way to get people to slow down. So many of these foods contain stuff that is addictive and that increases cravings.

I don't think it's anyone's business but the consumer what they eat or how much of it they eat. If someone is so concerned about labels and safety, why not make them put GMO labels on food? People have a right to make a choice in both instances. The government has already made to many laws to regulate our every move.

If only government would do more to reduce the type of junk food allowed. But seriously we should control our diet at times yea . It really come down to one person discipline and control over the food

Almost everything is bad for us in one way or another. I stay away from reading the labels. Have a great day there.

I think commercials have a big effect on what people eat. I don't have a television anymore (not enough space in our small apartment) and I find that when I am hungry, I am usually hungry for something like an apple or a sandwich. I occasionally want chips, pop, or cookies, but not nearly as often as I used to. And we don't want to order out as much.

I don't think it will have much of an impact. I agree with some of the other posters. I know that some of the things I eat are unhealthy. It does not stop me from eating them. Seeing a warning label on a candy bar or a bag of chips is not going to make me put it back down.
