New Users Discussion

Yes, I notice that too and I smell something not quite right there... If it is proven to be one user creating multiple new accounts, then those accounts will all be deleted. It's almost look like a class assignment to post a specific topic...

It is stuff like that which keeps me out of the section for discussions by new users. Unfortunately, I still did end up running across that multitude of duplicate postings, because I just went into the "no responses" section. *Sigh*

Every once in a while you will see things like this happen, and either it is a lot of people copying off one another, with nothing else to talk about, or sometimes the same person or group of people signing up here starting the same discussion with different user names thinking no one will ever notice. It can be quite annoying unless it has been a time where the site might be down and they did it on accident.

Wow I have never notice that option to see new user discussion . I always only just go straight to interest are friends discussion and take things from there . I have not seen what you are talking but I will be looking out for such thing from now on . Over 30 discussion with the same topic that is strange , are they all from the same user ? Are they trying to create spam are something similar I believe they could come from the same place are just one person that have nothing better to do decide to make a lot of account and upload the same topic , to waste people time .

I have not read it yet but if the discussion is very much the same, then it could have been created by only one person. Well, Mylot will detect it somehow and his/her account would be deactivated.

this discussion topic was already discussed a while ago. i have responded to it and it was exactly was you said in this one. So this one might get deleted though the topic is different , and it was 'can find a place to work for their practicum' I hope this one does not get deleted since I am responding here..hahha.. anyway can find a place to work for their practicu

I think if you look closely you will find that people starting the same discussion are from the same area. It looks like some people are joining up under several different names and addresses so that they can make more money....there is too much coincidence in the postings for it to be from different individuals that aren't related or close friends.

Yes, i think it was at the STUDENT discussion. It was quite shocking. I was just browsing for a good discussion, sometimes i browse by category and i saw almost 3 pages of the same title.. I was quite shocked.. i didn't even want to report it since they were so many... 3 pages!!

i didn't notice at all. but if it is like what you say then i think it might be. i wonder how it like. i go check it out and see. but thanks to your discussion, i can notice things happen around.
