Are you a false prophet?

I like the cartoon you added to your discussion, that is an interesting one. We are choosing our friends, but not our family, and we have not necessarily a good relationship with all our relatives. Personally I would be less likely to help some members of my family who never helped me, than some friends who have been always present when I asked them a service. Am I a false prophet ?

hi, Even i have seen such people. They are good actors. They act as if they love us very much. How mean is that. Even i have few friends ,they don't like to share anything with their relatives, immediate relatives. They argue a lot ,when i say that's wrong. so i stopped saying those things to them .Why unnecessary to waste my time..

Pride comes before the fall. I don't like people who are fake either, as a matter of fact, I like to point it out to them how fake they are and how everybody can see right through them. That usually makes them flare up but I don't care, if they weren't doing anything wrong then they wouldn't get so ticked about it. I find injustice to people who are hurting a travesty of God's love for everybody. Why take advantage of somebody? When I see a fake person, I expose them, I don't care what they say or do to me, they need the light shined in their face because they can't stand it and I won't stand by and let it happen if I have the chance. Do the right thing and you won't have any regrets. Do the wrong thing and you better be looking over your shoulder.

Perhaps they don't have the wherewithal to help all the family. Do you help some and leave the others out? Do you try to help all thereby hurting your own financial situation? And what is considered help, making someone do for themselves so that they won't be dependent on others or making them dependent on others because they haven't learned self reliance?

there are many people who lie and tell the truth. I just do not have to be such but there are cases where it is better to lie than to tell the truth. because sometimes the truth hurts an awful lot. interesting topic!

I am not sure this make s person a false prophet... But I certainly get what you are saying...I really know people who try to be "Big Willie" in front of other but even their wife and family is suffering...I don't call that person a false prophet, I call them a disrespectiful Jackazz,, and those type of people are just repugnance..and they will not be rewarded as they think they will be...

my first thought on this was that maybe they are to close to there blood lines and have judged them unworthy, Strangers you can give to with no prejudgement. just a guess.

If you think that family matters and that you should be generous to your own family before your friends and others, then that is good for you, especially if that is how you conduct yourself. I do not believe that just because I share DNA with someone that automatically makes them any more or less special than anyone else. Don't misunderstand me, though. I do think that family is important, and I am close with my parents, siblings, children, etc. However, there are some people that are supposedly "family" that I am not close with, and I do not think it is at all hypocritical to do for others before I would do for them, especially when the others that I would do for would also do the same for me. In addition, there are people that are my family and yet they are not at all related by blood, marriage or any other legal proceeding yet they are very close to me and that is what makes them family.

There are possibly various reasons why a family member would not help a relative, lets not disregard the fact that there are family members who are abusive and live like a leech. They just want to suck and doesnt want to work and just rely their survival from other people. Like for instance, the common ways here in the Philippines, Jr. stays with his parents despite of having his own family. He will give his parents his responsibilities as a father and husband, then his parents will work to feed his family and even send his children to school. Hypocrisy can also be the reason, maybe to gain credits and good reputation in public. For some, maybe just want to show to many that he is well off but the truth is his own parents cant eat a decent food at least three times in a day.

hi, actually i have a relative who are liked that,yes they have good status in their life,and there were times that we need help from them more on financially they didn't help us,but we knew that they lend money to there church-mates.we are just asking to our self why they can help other people and not us there relative.

It's (pity enough) not my experience that family is generous :-( I also know very less families where this is the case. In many cases the biggest part thinks just because they are family, because of the blood line they can do whatever they like but never have to give a helping hand themselves. I moved on with my life, deleted a big part of my family and can only say the world is a way better place since then. You can not choose your family but you can choose to let them back stabbing you or go your own way (why staying and insulting/harming each other and waste your time and energy and getting a bad health in return?!). Friends on the other hand you can choose and they can be family as well. Family are those who do care about you, it has nothing to do with bloodline.

Such thing is very common in our daily life, many people just think about their own benefit and neglect other,that is a pity, but how can we do for that? They pretend to be good to us,we pretend to be happy.Enjoy your day Shavkat!

Do not be surprised for even the time of Jesus these kind of people exist.AND even the bible states that even in our time there will be many false prophets.I have encountered to many people whom is like that, and God will punish that people at the time of Judgement.

It is somewhat true. It is written in Proverbs, " If you are in trouble or need help, go to your neighbor rather than to your brother's house." However, not all relatives are like that. Have a nice day!
