Hi everyone!
I am a person who loves beautiful bags and sandals but knowing my present situation, I am trying my best to minimize my spending considering that I still have things which I could use. Besides I need to save for the future and the fact that I have just spent a lot on my training. Just this afternoon, I went to the city proper to have some documents photocopied. Since I was there already, I decided to went to the mall which is just a cross the street.
Oh my gosh! The bags are being sold on a 50% discount! It seems that I can't resist the temptation of buying a new bag. The colors that I like, red and black, wow! really pretty!
But then, I have to make a way to resist this, this is not the proper time. So I told the sales clerk that I will just be back some other time. I am thankful I was not carried away.

Yes, I will be thinking of the pros and con if I would buy a thing. Especially those things that I do not need that much.

It is difficult for most of us to resist buying some thing which we like and you have done that.Great part on you.Follow the same hing whenever you know that your are spending too much.Me too follow the same thing .I will simply think 'It is not that good item i can find better one, will find the next day' and this attitude helped me a lot in spending on unnecessary items.

Yes, it is really difficult. But just like anything else, we could at least try and before we know it, we are already capable of resisting any temptation with regards to buying things.

At least you are resisting , I can hardly resist a good sale and these are the best time to shop . A 50% off is a huge discount and how pretty the bags are, you are really good at avoiding the temptation .
These stores know how to get to us in these time .

Actually, I am planning of going back and take a second look, he he. Those bags can be a nice gift to my mom also. Well, I have to think about it when I got additional benefits. Hopefully.

Hi, Aries! We seem to have a lot in common with regards to buying bags and sandals. As a matter of fact I do have lots of them although they are not used that often since I have just become a stay at home mom. But when I still had work, I would always buy either a bag or a pair of shoes. I couldn't resist it coz I know I have the money to pay for it. Now, I just buy when I really need it. But most often, my mom, sister and sisters in law just give them as gifts even if there are no occasions. Well, that saves me a lot!

Good that you had resisted the temptation. I also have a fantasy of buying eyeglasses. I have bought several eyeglasses. Those which I already outgrown I gave to my relatives and friends. Now I have about 10 pairs of reading glasses and 2 pairs of double vision sunglasses left. Good that I seldom see my optometrist, there's no addition yet. These are just cheap as I could not afford the expensive ones.

Hi.
I am trying to minimize my spending because I need to save for the holidays. About eyeglasses, I am thankful I don't need to use it as of this time. I don't like using even shades because it would leave a mark on my nose. But of course if I would be using eye glasses in the future I just have to deal with it.

It is really a great feeling when you conquer the unnecessary desires in life.Even I have done this so many times not that I was unable to afford but I realised it is just a temporary temptation and I can do something better with the money I will waste on the unnecessary items. Best of luck and keep your control on your life.

Yes, we should prioritize our needs over our wants. I also experience buying things before and after sometimes, I realized I just don't need it and I should have saved the money to be used for a more important thing.

Certain brands really have sale from time to time. I am also planning to buy a new purse because my wallet was already worn out, he he.
Yes, sometimes it is also better to buy things that we need during this time. This is the time when malls give big discounts because they wanted to sell their products in order for them to get new products for the coming year.

I'm like you friend, I resist such temptations cause I know I might over spend the family budget (it's always the kids needs and education first) Unlike shoes and bags, I have a penchant for outdoor gears, survival stuffs like this small neck knife I wanted to buy, I also resist going to the hardware (ACE or Handyman) cause I get to spend a lot on DIY things and home improvements for our house as well as things for our car, I set my mind to the immediate needs first

Well at least you resisted it and wont decide right away.
I used to be like that when buying things. Sometimes some things are so catchy at first but I am always have second thoughts before buying it.

That is also the reason why sometimes I do not want to bring my credit card with me because I'm afraid I might not be able to control myself. But if I got additional benefits on the coming days, I could return and buy that bag, I will also buy for my mom. As for now, I am still on the lookout for that.

I have a temptation for bags. Either online or offline any time, i buy as soon as i like them. Its very hard to resist.

Good to know that you can able to resist the temptation and hope i can make it too. Sometimes I just want to go supermarket than to the department store to avoid those beautiful bags, clothes and sandals because i need to save for Christmas too but it hard for me to control myself especially now most of the malls are on sale.

Hi Aries, I am also fund of shopping like you but because life is so hard nowadays Im trying to cut my expenses and avoid shopping.I think it really depends us on how we resist temptation from buying things which are not so important.Good thing . you have decided to resist from temptation.Temptation is everywhere..

I also wanted to buy some new things but this year, I spent so much for our training so I am waiting for some of my accounts to be settled. Hopefully my finances would be back to normal before the year ends.
