On my trip to San Diego, California, I go through orbitz to rent a car along with the package. The price was really cheap though for 4 days rental car. I also purchase the insurance for $7 each day in case of something. As I arrived there to pick up the car, they charged me additional $36 for the state - imposed insurance, the staff told me that is mandatory by the state. On the day I return the vehicle, I didn't fill up the car full, that was my fault, but it was 80% full at least, the staff charge me for $17 of it, and the market price for a gallon of gasoline in California was around $4.00 at that time. That is another rip - off. Later, when I board the plane to see my receipt, there was $49 charge on my credit card include the $17.00. There was so many unclear detail on it. So, people if you have a chance to travel west coast, beware "Dollar - rent - a - car" service, they can be rip - off deal.

Didn't you read the contract. All should be clearly stated in the contract. Don't miss a single clause to read.
