It Doesn't Phrase Me

What are some annoying words or phrases you would like to see wiped off the face of the earth? Such as the phrases "Is is what it is.", or "Think out of the box." Things like that? I don't think I have any cause I would rather hear those than the things my one family member says over and over, which is what makes me cringe here cause he does it daily and can be several of the phrases that aren't even considered to be "hip" or "in" right now. He says " Right? Right.", "Shut up (jokingly)", "Got an itch." and other very stupid things for a 45 year old man. I recently looked up something about repitition compulsion and also Alzheimer's and it seems he might have those illnesses in my observances. Have you ever known someone to repeat phrases like that over and over? Would it bug you to be around him?

Like totally, I know what you mean. I have never liked to talk to anyone who said 'like' that many times in one conversation either.

Like and whatever are two of the most over used words there is. I have used both but try to keep it down some with them, cause I know there are some people who hate it.

A lady I use to work with would repeat things like up your zing zang, or something similar. Also, whatever, talk to the hand and she is older in age as well. I think maybe, he is just use to saying them and they slip out without knowing it. If you say it so many times you will just get into a habit of saying it.
