Since i've been here for quite awhile and had been participating posting and replying to discussions back and forth. I've noticed that from the many participation i am doing here in my stay at this site. I noticed that i also gained more friend request.
I don't hate them though, since adding new friends here in this site is a helpful way to get your discussions recognize, it's also a good way to communicate with fellow myLotters in the discussions that had the same interests as mine. I also love the fact that most friend requests that i've received are from newbies in the site. in a way, i am able to help them by responding to their queries about the site.

I always receive a lot of friend's request.
I am not choosy when it comes to accepting but I can say that I checked the profile page first before accepting the request.
I also deleted a lot from my lists, those who are not active- so if you check my friends it haven't reached 500.
I accept newbies as long as they are active.

Just like you Jaiho, i always received a lot of friend's request. I also check first the profile page to get to know more about the mylotter.
However, i think for the next request of friends, i will already require that they indicate from what country and if they are male or female. That way, i know their places, which kinda makes me happy that i have lots of friends from all around the world.
I guess just like you, i will be already deleting some who are inactive.

hello D,
I use to accept friend's request easily when I was a newbie.
Now I set my own standards, and thu I felt sorry for deleting the in-active ones, I don't think it's practical to keep them on my lists..
Anyway, what does "friends" means right...if they don't even come or respond to our topic- not even once.

That's the nice things you have in mind and you want to do Add them to your friends list and not only you can help them solving their queries but if you are in need they too will help you out in solving your queries here. What I feel and I am sure you will agree with me in this regards is that "Mylot is the place of Give and take, and sharing

I am happy to receive friend requests too. That means people here are noticing my presence and participation in this site. 
It just feels good to be liked and gain new friends even if it just here in myLot.

I guess you have been active in having discussion and responding that is why many of them wants to be your friend. Well there are lots of advantage in having friends coz you will know what are they doing,and you can keep in touch with them.

hi heaytheblogger I have way too many fri ends as I cannot possibly respond to them all but new ones send me friends request and i check their profiles and they are so new only 2 friends. I feel sorry and accept them. now I need to weed ou those who have left here.

You're right. Everytime, I log in here I see some friend requests waiting for me to accept them. I hope they won't get upset if I don't accept their requests at once especially on weekends. I just sometimes peep and post some responses or comments. I am more active on weekdays. You're right. We are able to participate on their discussions and communicate with them more if they are included in our friend lists. I also meet a lot of newbies compared to older fellow myLotters. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

That is what happens when you become really active here at Mylot. Most especially the newbies coz they want to know more about the site and through adding us to their friends' list, we can be able to guide them if they ask us to.
I also have several requests pending but found out that most of them are no longer active. They have just made a few posts and stopped.

Hi,
Same here, lots of requests all around. I don't respond to them though, I like to respond to the ones that suits my fancy, I feel I am not obliged to respond every time an added friend starts one, especially when no one also care to respond to the one's I have started. Well, that's what friends are for.

I agree with you, most friend requests come from newbies. I accept them immediately without looking at their profile. I don't delete those who are inactive. One thing that I discovered after I commented on a discussion which I started over a year ago and most of the responders are already inactive, their responses were deleted. I was even surprised when I opened the discussion that I only have one response left.

I feel happy whenever somebody invited me to be his/her friend. But before I accept it, I would try to see his/her profile to see where he came from. I am also deleting some who are not doing good things especially in the discussion area. I still have a lot of pending requests and I am taking time to study their behavior.

That good to hear if you have a lot of friend in mylot. So you can respond their discussion and they also respond your discussion. You also can socialize with them. Since i very active started discussion and respond discussion i always get friend request especially from newbie. :)
