Two And A Half Men sure has managed to be in the news a lot. We know the casts personal lives and certainly learned more about Charlie Sheen, then I wanted to know ever. Charlie is now on Anger Management a television show on FX. It appears that Angus T Jones the teenager on Two And A Half Men might want to consider joining Charlie.
I'm sad to see 2 people rant from one show. Charlie was fired for his ranting. Is Angus going to be the next person to lose his job? We don't know yet, but I'm sure if he keeps ranting that CBS will have to do something.
Personally, I don't think either was mistreated by CBS and sure made a lot of money and I think the behavior of Charlie and Angus is wrong. There are so many people out of work that need a job to put food on the table and here we see our news channels talk about these 2 actors that think they are better than anyone else.
What do you think? Should Angus be fired? Is Charlies new comments correct? What should CBS do about their show?

I LOVE what Angus said. I'm glad he didn't take down a particular person like Charlie. But Angus just spoke the truth - the show is filthy. No one can deny that. That doesn't mean people don't find it entertaining. I wonder if this is Angus's way of getting out of his contract. That he'd like to leave because his beliefs have changed, but they won't let him.

I'm hoping the show will be over, but the ratings are so high. They could easily recast the role and continue on for years sadly. I wish people would turn the channel, as there are plenty of other channels to view. Thanks for posting.

At least The Big Bang Theory has higher ratings. It always frustrates me when inferior shows do better than those with great quality.
I tell you one of the bigger injustices was Jon Cryer winning the Emmy this year for Lead Actor in a Comedy. Please!

I agree. It is filthy and I just don't get why so many people watch it! Is that all they think about in life anymore? I just don't get why anyone would be amused at such trash... unless it is one of those shows where people watch it and imaging how it would be to be "Charlie" or be able to do that, or "cool" that he can do that etc. I always thought, okay, fine for adults, but there shouldn't be a kid in there like that had. I am surprised that kid is not mentally "disabled" after all the s*x talk on that show!
I did also see this morning that he re-canted all he said. Not saying "I didn't mean it" but just saying he was sorry about everything he said.
He said his contract expires next year..after current season, so odds are if he values what he says he values he won't resign and good chance the show will be over..we can only hope!

I have never been able to figure out why people like this spoil what they have. Even pro sports figures. They think they are worth so much it's unbeliveable. And then even though they are somewhat Idols to many young they throw it all away with bad behavior. It's almost sad that they can't just keep more down to earth. I am not sure if he should be fired or not....but never look too far beyond what you have or you might find yourself on the outside looking in.

I think the show is disgusting and filth..just like he said...but as you said...why do they bite the hand that feeds them? Stars do it all the time. Used to not be so bad..they could always go somewhere else, but these days...not to many places for them to go since the entire world now knows their "feelings"..thanks to the internet and twitting etc.!!!
This happens on alot of shows to where the actor is stereotyped (unfortunately) for the part they made "famous" and they try to go elsewhere and no one wants "that person"...like Farra Faucet...she rose to above the top after one year on CHarlies Angels, and thought her stuff didn't stink...and left the show...one year later it was "Farra who?" Remember all the Brady Bunch kids...no one wanted to hire Greg Brady. And even the Friends cast and the Seinfeld cast...they have all done a little here and there but none of them have done anything of longevity. That Cosmo guy on Seinfeld is back into the local run of the mill stand up comedy circuit...down from being #1 show for years. Sometimes they make it, but more often they don't. "New Adventures of the Old Christine" has stood its own and is still on air (I think) but not near the stamina as Seinfeld
What is more annoying is that he openly admits all this, but stays with the show! Talk about hypocrite! I mean, great that he has grown and knows what trash is, but at the same time...poop or get off the pot. Don't tell people to not watch it and then stay with the show. Odds are...his stardom is over as no other "show" will want to hire him for fear he will do this to their show. Just like what happened to Charlie Sheen. He should have just finished his contract and then not resigned.

Actually, I have to disagree about Farrah Fawcett, who went on to do movies and other television shows after leaving Charlie's Angels. I think 29 other roles before she passed from cancer is a lot of acting and if you haven't seen some of her movie roles like The Burning Bed I'm highly recommending this one. She didn't want to be typecast and think one season was just enough to have people see you want to work.
I agree Barry Williams couldn't get a job after playing the role of Greg Brady, as he played that role a long time. There are other actors that certainly have had a tough time working like any of the other children on The Brady Bunch.

Thanks both for committing and do agree that you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you now. I think people should just leave shows, if they don't like the direction their character is going in and find another job.

Hello Fishmomma. Back when the show first came out Id did watch it for the first season or two but then it just got too ronchie for me. If I was CBS I would have fired him too for what he said. but at the same time it is good to see Angus to turn his life around. There are two interviews on youtube with him.

I would like to see CBS replace the show with something more family oriented

I think Girl Meets World will be a comedy to watch, as it will be on the Disney Channel. That might be the answer watch Disney Channel, as its suppose to be for families. Thanks for posting.

I would too deebomb. The "family" sitcom is of the past and I wish they'd bring it back. They are making a spin off of Boy Meets World...Corey and Topanga married in the last season (or 2) of that show, and now in this new spin off...they are STILL MARRIED TO EACH OTHER..imagen that! And they have a 13 year old daughter and the show is called Girl Meets World. Hopefully this will be as good as the parent show..that one was a great show and for the family and it was funny and good and all...they just don't make them like that anymore.

I've never like Charlie Sheen. For the most part I don't think he was doing much acting when he was on the show; he was just being himself. He didn't deserve the high pay he got. I think all the other actors on the show carried him. I think that is true with Ashton Kurcher; after all look who won the Emmy after Ashton joined the show, it was the guy who plays Alan.

I always thought Charlie was overpaid on the show. I'm not sure why he thought his salary should be so much higher than the rest of the cast, as they really did carry him. I wasn't surprised when he was fired for his bad behavior. Thanks for posting.

I agree. I liked Charlie when he was on Spin City...but that was all. Like you said the character had NOTHING going for him, but trashy filth. No story about him or anything. The others did carry the show and I think the brother Allen did all that for all of them. The boy..Angus..all he did was sit there and whine and act stupid and display no manners, just a sloppy person without any morals, purpose or anything .I can't even think of words to explain him! "Pet Rock" comes close! And the housekeeper...she at least had some common sense and personality..but that's it. I still don't get why it has been so popular for so long and why people watch it. And the Harpers mother...HOlland Taylor...what's up with that? She is just a female Charlie! I just don't see the humor or purpose of wasting 1/2 hour to watch such crap.

I have always thought that show was disgusting. I have watched it from time to time to see if anything changed, but always turned within 10 minutes as I just got tired of the blantant, obvious, ridiculous, stupidity it was. A rabid dog has more intelligence than that show! And to think people sit every week and watch it and watch the re runs. It just makes you wonder how mindless and stupid and demented people are these days! It is about nothing but one guy having s*x all the time with anyone in a skirt, and one that is just whining about not having it and a kid being raised in the middle of the s*x is all that we care about and runs our lives" household. They have a smart eleck housekeeper and a mindless, useless, all-about-s*x-too mother/grandmother. THere isn't a single intelligent person or event or theme on that show...yet people watch and laugh and watch some more.
Charlie left cause he wanted more money wasn't it? I commend the show for calling his bluff and not cowering to him and let him go. There is no plot or purpose to the show..easy to come up with another one should the recast not take the show. It did but the Ashton character is just as stupid as the rest!
I read the article about Angus, converting to LDS and that form of religious beliefs and trying to support his beliefs, etc..however..him just saying "don't watch the show..it is filth"...well, what a hypocrite! He is acting in it, doing all the "filth" things, involved with them in one way or another, that is how he is earning a living that support him rather nicely...yet tells people not to watch it? He said he couldn't leave as he has a year on his contract..but still...shut up or get out, but don't expect people to take you seriously when you are living both sides of the fence!
CBS will probably let it all ride as long as the ratings are up there. If people stop watching and the ratings fall, they will probably finish out his contract and then not renew it. It'd be easy to either recast with a nephew to "recreate" Jake, or Ashton can have a son he didn't know about suddenly dropped on his door step or soemthing like that...and just recast the "stupid kid" part. Or, I would prefer they just can the show and give people something intelligent to watch instead of stupid filth.

I'm mad that he is complaining about the show when he is making so much money. If you have a problem with a show, then just quietly leave, as you are just making more people tune in to see the show. It feels like he wants people to watch. Thanks for posting.

I know. Isn't that stupid? More importantly...the producers now know how he feels about the show (that made him famous!) and you know they are working on how to replace him next season if he doesn't renew his contract...if they offer him another one. Employers don't like to keep employees that don't like being there!

They should fire him, yes. Wouldn't you fire a paid employee who campaigned against a product you were marketing?
That said, I agree with Angus Jones and I think it's high time that people demanded more quality in their entertainment. Unfortunately, I'm in the minority. I guess the majority enjoy potty humor and the degradation and trivialization of human sexuality.

I would fire him, but don't think that will happen. He isn't using sound judgement and should leave the show before saying anything else about the show. We can see today he isn't leaving, so clearly money is more important to him. Thanks for posting.

Boy said it dragon54u...I just don't get why people sit and watch that trashy show! No theme, plot, point, purpose or lesson learned or anything other than just plain stupidity and as you say...potty humor.
They wont' fire him...his contract expires after this season so they will probably let it run, watch ratings and maybe do a year by year one to see if his attitude changes. Like you said, who'd want any one one the show that hates to be there!

I don't know about firing him. Didn't he apologize? Personally, just keep writing him less and less into the show. He's older now, so not really living at homewith daddy. Worst case senario, he can be replaced. What if "Jake" knocked someone up, and Alan and Waldon ended up taking care of the baby boy? It could still be called Two And A Half Men! :)

He did apologize the next day. I am just not happy that some people can say whatever about the show they are on and continue to get paid a lot of money. I think there would be a long line of young actors that would do the job their paid for without complaining about the show. Thanks for posting.
