From birth up to your present whereabouts now, we were taught so many things about body parts: head, eyes, nose; how to keep clean, how to read, write, spell, do arithmetic. Do you know that we "owed" these virtues from so many persons. Think about your own person and think what virtues, facts and knowledge have you acquired from others. Who are the persons, institutions. etc. from whom you've owed your education? Shall we express our gratitude to them? Responses will be appreciated.

I learned a lot of things from school, work, home and from the world around me. I even learned from bad things that happened to me. Everyday is a new learning for everyone.

Yes- I do believe many things are learned from the places where we stay day in day out. What particular example of learning skills can you get from listening to your TV. I'm just curious.

Yes, you got it right. The TV is replete with stories, news and shows, and you get and develop skills from them in the form of lessons, information, song, dance, etc.

Hi friend, you are right, we learn things from various persons, it is really hard to remember all of them, even we learn some lessons from strangers too, surely we must be grateful to all of them whoever taught a lesson to us in our life

This gives proof to the saying, no man is an island. But, just for the sake of discussion how would you explain the incident of an elementary school in Connecticut, USA on Friday past 9:00 a.m. where a gunman named Adam shot and killed 27 people schoolchildren and teachers, principal, including his mom and he himself?

Posting a few lines of gratitude to those who have helped us mold what we are today means a lot. Greeting parents, siblings, cousins, etc. during their birthdays, etc. counts.

Thanks for taking a look at your back. We owe what we are today from all the resources that surround us. And we must be grateful for them for we'll not be here without them. It's a truism that no man is an island. There's is interdependence among all forms of life. And that makes the world wonderful and amazing. And to understand these things is to live in harmony with nature. Live and let live.
