At a recent doctor's visit I shared with my doctor my desire to lose weight. I have struggled with weight issues all of my life. But right now this is the heaviest I have ever been and I am suffering more than ever with my medical problems. I have scolosis in my back which cause severe balance issues and problems with my legs and feet. In times past I have had several doctors say that if I lose some weight I will feel a lot better. I will still have some issues to deal with but my pain level will decrease by about 50%. Realizing the severity of these issues it's hit me like a ton of bricks. How did I let it get this far? I need to lose at least 50lbs. My doctor has got me into a pain management clinic I have been taking pain pill along with physical therapy and each week my therapist increases my excerises. I work at the therapist office as well as what she gives me to do at home. My diet really isnt that bad as far as what I eat I don't eat a lot of sweets or have a lot of sugar or salt in my diet so that's why Im having so much trouble in understanding how I got this heavy but my doctor explained it to me that because of the decrease in physical activity and being a women in the change in my horomones with my age all has a factor. I have been doing really good the only changes my doctor suggested in making as far as my diet is concerned is cutting my portions at meal time in half and increase my water intake with just the few changes I've made and being able to excerise now I feel so much better. I have lost 10 lbs so far it might not sound like much when you look at it but to me it's big. This morning when I was getting ready for church I put on a pair of dress pants they were 16 I could zip them and button and they werent tight I haven't been in 16's for years. This motivates me even more now. I will continue on to reach my goal. Losing weight for me isnt about looking super skinny or looking a certain way Im not in this for that. For me losing weight is for me to be healthier so I can move around and do what I need to do without so much pain all the time to be here for my family.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i feel extremely bad for your health and i m pretty sure u must be very much tensed and worried about your condition and even i would have reacted the same had i been in your place. I think obesity is the root cause of many health ailments and that is the reason why many obese people have so many health problems as time passes by as the fats that are accumulated gives rise to so many health issues. I think u should better consult a good doctor who will advise u properly in each steps. What say?
