I don't understand!

I just got a very hard to understand email from facebook. It talks about timeline and something else that I don't get. When I logged onto my fb page there did't seem to be anything different or any messages from them so I just went along my merry way talking to my kids and playing games as always. Any other fb members get an email from them? Do you understand what they are talking about because I sure don't!
