A question about the thyroid nodules

Four years ago I found that I had the thyroid nodules and therefore at that time I had an operation to remove a part of my thyroid. Lately I went to the hospital to have a checkup. The blood test is fine. But the Ultra sound scanning found that my thyroid has two little nodules again. It is about 0.5-0.6cm. I don't want to have an operation again. Do you know any treatments to this problem?

You might as well go to see a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is said that Chinese herbal medicine can stop the nodules from growing ,even make them disappear. However it takes time to heal.

Frankly, I don't really trust the traditional Chinese medicine and it is not easy to meet a good one.

From what I read, You can use Anti-thyroid medications such as methimazole (Tapazole) to reduce symptoms of thyroid nodules (hyperthyroidism). Treatment is generally long-term and can have serious side effects on your liver, so it's important to discuss the treatment's risks and benefits with your doctor. If you prefer natural treatment you can try these methods: -Eat less goitrogenic foods that include Brussels sprouts, rutabaga, turnips, cabbage, radishes, broccoli, cauliflower, millet and kale. Goitrogens are naturally occurring thyroid inhibiting substances found in these foods. -Eat gluten free foods and a majority of raw foods. -Reduce or stop your use of perfume, especially spraying it in the neck area. -Eat organic foods that are chemical and pesticide free. -Use bentonite clay ? drink 1 teaspoon in water daily. Also use it as a clay mask and smooth it over the neck and allow it to absorb all toxins. -Do a heavy metal cleanse, read the blog I wrote eNatural Cures for Radiation Exposuref. -Iodine -- Kelp is rich in iodine and is affordable. There used to be plenty of iodine in vegetables and fruits but the soil is very iodine depleted in most areas today. Foods that contain iodine are organic eggs, meat, fish and other seafood, radish, parsley, potatoes, gluten free oats, strawberries and bananas. -Tyrosine -- Tyrosine is an amino acid needed by the body to manufacture thyroid hormones from iodine. Tyrosine is in foods like mustard greens, spinach, seaweed, non GMO soy meats and fish. -Bladderwrack -- Bladderwrack is a seaweed that is a rich source of iodine. Traditionally it has been used for weight loss and hypothyroidism. It also contains the minerals potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, etc. Bladderwrack is thought to stimulate the thyroid gland increasing metabolism. Coconut Oil - Swallow 2 tablespoons of organic extra virgin coconut oil daily or use it in salads or cooking.

I guess there is some medication that you might take to shrink those two little nodules on your thyroid, youless. But it is very advisable to ask a doctor if pharmacological measure and not surgical intervention is possible.

Yes, I shall go to see a doctor. But usually the doctor will suggest to have the operation as everything will be clear.

I haven't heard about the laser surgery for thyroid problems. Here there is a minor operation for it and it just removes a part of the thyroid. However, I know in some countries the doctors will remove the whole thyroid. Both of these treatments have the advantages and disadvantages. If you remove the whole thyroid, then you have to depend on the medicine in your rest life. However, if you just remove a part of it, this problem may occur again.
