Some may have noticed that I stopped posting pictures here a couple month ago. Okay maybe not. Camera stopped working. Something with the lighting sensor screwed up and outdoor pictures washed out. In door pictures looked really odd too although you could still figure out what the picture was of. My wife caved in a bought a new one this week and while it is a little more complex to set up I'm back in action.

Good. Looking forward to see the photos. By the way, what kind of camera is it?

My brother-n-law has a Canon and my husband had one, but it took me a while to get use to it. I just keep it on automatic. The thing is that it is just a 5 mm. and I can take 8 mm with my iphone.

Our old one was a canon and we kept it on automatic. Served us for a long time. I was quite upset when it stopped working right.

It's a Nikon. Model I don't know. I just know that it wasn't very expensive. Works well I just have to get used to it.

Congrats!!! I remember when I was cameraless, (I know, not a word.
)it seemed like there was always something I wanted to get a picture of. Now that I have a camera, I get pictures, but I rarely upload here and don't know why. Maybe because I can't think of a good discussion about it..

Oh that sounds interesting, you are literally making your daughter's bed?
Well, ironically I now have pictures to share after I said I didn't have anything. Last night was the last day of Hanukkah, so I got some pictures..

Actually my daughter is helping me build her bed. Most of the work is being done on my wood lathe in the basement. Building it mainly out of two by fours. I'm intending to head for your Hanukkah topic but have to eat supper. Busy busy too.

Oh wow, that is so cool. I would love a basement and a garage, I am sure my husband would build and/or fix more things if we did. Plus your daughter gets some great experience and pride in making something like that..

My camera adjusts for those things, too, otherwise I'd never take a picture that was decent. I don't take many, anyway because I just don't think about it at the right time.
You have more snow than we do if you have any at all. We need the moisture so badly and I like snow and really miss it.

Point and shoot is what I'm used to. I usually don't deal with backlight, indoor, outdoor, bright, dark etc. The old camera automatically adjusted for those things. Pictures come out nice though. I don't have anything bad to say about this camera. Don't have a lot of winter shots for you at this point. Not really that much snow on the ground yet.

Looks like what little snow we have is slowly dwindling away. They promised us a big snow storm in the middle of the week and now the forecast is for flurries or rain. Oh well. I prefer snow and temperatures cold enough to keep it all frozen.

that is a nice picture. i like taking pictures and surprisingly, my tablet takes fairly good ones. my daughter is saving for a 35mm camera because she is thinking that maybe she would like to take photography and English at college. she is only in grade 10 but its good to have a plan.

I like taking pictures as well. I was surprised at the picture quality my old cell phone camera took. Photography is an interesting hobby. My Dad was really into it. He was frustrated when he looked at the pictures I take. I have more of an artistic eye than he does and while he might beat me on lighting and focus and all the technical stuff. He knows he can't match my sense of composition.

New camera! Nice! Been neglecting my hobby lately because of work. I miss taking great pictures and posting it. Getting into mylot has been difficult because it's too slow and I don't have much patience with it anymore.

Nice to see you around some. Mylot sometimes frustrates me as well. I'm occasionally in the mood to do a lot of writing here when the Internet or the website don't want to cooperate. One thing I do like though is that I can come back to it another time. Nice to here from you and hope you are doing well.

Hello there!
I love taking photos too.
Well it it just what I call point and shoot, without editing my shots. I like taking everything.. As of now, I dont have a digital camera so I take pictures using my cell phone. I wish to have a digicam again because it is easier to take photos than cell phone.

Camera takes better resolution pictures than the cell phone too. I have an old cellphone with a camera but I haven't used it in a very long time. I did take some pictures with it.

That must be a good camera. The picture is so cool! I am also dreaming of having a new camera which I could use to upload pictures to my site. As of now my camera is not working well.
Congratulations!

It's an inexpensive Nikon. I find the settings a little complicated but that's all right. Will be putting it to good use.
