For a team that was the no. 1 Test Team in the world just a short while ago, the decline has been dramatic. Since the drubbing in England by England, Team India has gone from series to series losing matches for fun, failing to last 5 days. There was a false hope that maybe at home they would be able to arrest this decline. But after the win in the first test, they have been completely outplayed by a more focused and determined English team. What do you think are the reasons for the poor performance of the Indian team? Is it a lack of talent in the bowling department? Is it the poor performance of the replacements of retirees? Or is it just plain poor focus and lack of determination that is hurting the team? Also who do you think is accountable for these losses - the Team, the Captain, the Coach or the BCCI? Cheers! Ram

After seeing the performance of Indian team in the first match it was like the team would take the series 2-0 or 3-0, but England took the series 2-1. Great come back by the England team in the 2 test match, but the Indian team could have performed better, it's may be due to too much series played by the Indian team ....

Yes, I remember people already predicting a whitewash here at mylot. Leave alone whitewash, we ended up losing to England and that too really badly. Cheers! Ram

I think for team India it has been a combination of = Bad play by batsmen, bowlers and fielders. = Aggressive and focused play by England players = Good spin bowling by England = Some bad luck = Lack of quality seam and /or swing bowler, mainly a bowler like Praveen Kumar.

Yes, where has Praveen Kumar suddenly vanished. Or has he been labelled as a limited overs player alone? Cheers! Ram
