My aunt bought for quite a while, a strange USB HUB. It has the shape of a doll rabbit, and lights up when connected to the PC.
It would not be an object that lacks sympathy, pity, however, that its functioning not be at optimal levels.
There are some devices that my aunt connects to the device, which does not work properly. This however is overcome if these devices are inserted directly into the the USB slot of PC.
I think that just the fact that it is lit, it consumes power, so the performance of the devices connected to it, are defective.
I remember that the maximum number of ports that can have a HUB USB power from the computer (and therefore not from external power source), is equal to 4 at the same time.
In other words, a beautiful object, even nice gift, but unfortunately not very functional.

Well, for me the utility that such gadgets, it is only the good figure they do. But from experience I've had it, I must say that unfortunately have little utility, they often create problems. We might as well consider them for what they are.
