Sometimes Dramas give away who done it

On lots of the drama shows they give you a really big hint of who the villain will be. It is not done in the writing or the plot as much as it is in the casting. They will have a pretty big or recognizable guest star on the show and many times that is who the villain will end up being. Sometimes there are exceptions to this but it is the case quite often. I guess it is hard to avoid since they want a proven and talented actor to play the part and thus they end up will someone with the proper experience and resume and so they also end up with someone who is very recognizable.

Shows need ratings to survive today. I'll admit its not easy knowing who committed the crime before turning on the television, but its happening often now. I still want to see how the crime was committed and was the right actor picked for the role.
